Bobby Abreu just resigned w/us for 2 yrs with an option for 3. Boy that was super fast, he always said he wanted to stay with the Angles but no one ever expected him to sign the day after the WS. Don't know the money involved yet.
Sorry for your loss last night. I feel your pain.
Re: **ND***
Wow, that was really fast. I guess he found his niche with the Angels. I was talking to my Poppy on the phone last week about the Phils and he was saying how glad he was to dump Abreu on the Yankees because he's so lazy! I thought of you!
Yeah, the Phils were a hard loss, but honestly the better team won. They barely showed up, I just don't know what the problem was. The offense just died and fielding was less than stellar. It was a good season though, and I'll take what I can get! At least they made it to the World Series.
Well, southern California is known to be laid back, maybe thats why he fits here so well
. He always said how much he liked it here and being an Angel, maybe that caused him to perform better.
I can relate to the team barely showing up, thats what happened with the Angels vs. the Yanks. Very frustrating considering the way they played the first 162 games. Oh well, we'll get em next year!
Are you sure you're not secretly a Philly fan? That's our motto all around! haha
LOL, Phillies were never on my radar until last year's WS, I was rooting for Tampa Bay though, I usually root for the AL unless its the Yanks or Red Sox. I'd love to have some of the bats on your team, your boys can hit!
Haha, it's such a relief to have a team who is talented (and respected!). There are still days where I have to remind myself that we're not the team we were 10 years ago!
I am really ashamed that you were cheering on the Rays, though. Sigh...
