Home town poll

I know where most of you like (okay, that sounded spooky) but am curious what you consider your home town. I want to see how many others are SC natives, and who is a transplant

Re: Home town poll

  • Whops - I forgot to post about me...

Evergreen CO is my home town. I've been in SC for a year now

  • I was born in Charleston, SC. Lived in TN for 11 years and NC for 10 I've been back in SC-Greenville for about a year.

Eventhough I only lived there for a few years when I was younger, I consider Charleston/Kiawah Island, SC to be my hometown.

  • a tiny little town in North Carolina (about an hour north of Charlotte).  I definitely consider NC my home.  NC and SC are verrry different from each other.  SC is growing on me though. ; )   Including college, I've been here 5 years.  2 in Clemson, 1 in Myrtle Beach and 2 in Anderson
  • starz~ what tiny town north of Charlotte?? I'm curious b/c that's the area DH and I moved from last summer.
      Have a great evening!!
  • I consider Charleston to be my hometown. I was born in Guam, but my family is from Ohio. We were stationed in SC when I was 4 and I've been here almost 20 years.

  • I consider New Martinsville, WV my hometown.  I lived there until I left for college... then spent 5 years in Morgantown, WV.  From grad school I moved to Fairfax, VA for 2+ years, then to Greenville last October.

  • I consider SC "home" since I've been here 8 yrs. now, but I grew up in Indiana and my town there feels more like a "home town" to me, since I've moved around in SC a bit.

Oh wow, you did move around a lot!

  • True, and at the time I enjoyed it. I still like to travel and visit new areas but I really hope we stay here for a few years, but if that doesn't happen, the next move will be another adventure. That's what I love about life, I never know what's going to happen next, BUT I do know who it'll happen with!!! Big Smile

  • Born and raised in Rockford IL.

Lived in Columbia for 5 years, and feel like it's my "home town".  I never fit in Rockford even though I grew up there and it's where my family is.

Living in Chicago now and it's tied for Columbia as my favorite place.  They might seem different on the surface but actually share a lot of traits that I admire in a city.

  • I consider my hometown York, SC, but now I live in Union,SC.

I can't wait to move back "home" in a few years.
