Need hair stylist help- a-line bob?
I need hairstylist rec's! I have long hair that is somewhat thin and want to cut it in a a-line bob (not super duper short, but definitely shorter than it is now). So here are my questions
1) If you have a bob- did it make your hair have more body? And how did you style it? (or what products did you use?)
2) If you have a picture PLEASE post it because I am looking for some pics to take in
3) Recommend your hairstylist and where they are, especially if they are good with a-line bobs!
Thanks!!
Re: Need hair stylist help- a-line bob?
I don't currently have this hairstyle but after our wedding in 2006, I cut off all of my hair into an a-line bob. I have baby fine hair but a lot of it. This was a great cut on me, I just needed a change as I had it for over a year. In answer to your questions...
1) Having shorter hair in general just makes my hair seem thicker...there's less length to weigh it down at the top. I blow dried it with a round brush and then put a texture wax type product in it so it had some texture/body but was sleek. Does that make sense? I used products that my stylist sold me...Davines I think is the brand?
2) I don't on my work computer, I don't think. Remind me again how I post a picture on these boards and I'll hunt one down.
3) Patti Green at green. salon. Seriously, she's awesome and this was/is a cut she is very, very good at. I got so many compliments on that cut that I started handing out her card to people because people were asking for her name. www.greenhairpdx.com
1. I do have an a-line bob. I have lots of hair, but I also use Paul Mitchell sculpting foam and blow-dry with my hair flipped over for added body.
2. I don't have any pictures of myself, but I have this same style. Links:

3. I went to Irene at the Paul Mitchell school on Broadway downtown. She is awesome, and it only cost $12!!
I also highly recommend Katie Beckerly at Dosha Hawthorne. She's my neighbor and has done my a-line before. But Dosha's a lot more expensive.
Good Luck!!
Another one here....I have had several version. Razor cut, layered, 1 length, etc. I really like Laura at Defining Image.
