We just booked our tickets....
... to go see my relatives up north, some of my husbands' family too, and of course doing a bunch of touristy things!
We are starting in Atlantic City, NJ (which my husband has never been too), and then spending a day or two in Philly... which both of us have never been too... and then spending 2-3 days in NYC! And then back to Atlantic City!
We got a great deal on tickets... I'm excited although a little nervous... I haven't been in cold weather in almost 13 years! lol... and I haven't been to New Jersey in 7! I can't wait!
Re: We just booked our tickets....
Yay...I love vacations!!! It is nice to go to a different climate too. Sounds like fun...I love NYC!!!
I feel like I have been on more vacations since I've had my baby than I did beforehand. M has traveled to quite a few places so far!
Enjoy your trip! I agree that traveling to a different climate is half the fun! As long as you do it before the bitter cold weather kicks in.
Debi - that's awesome that you are able to travel more now than you did prior to having your little guy. I find traveling much more difficult with a two year old compared to pre-baby...especially long flights! lol
I'm so jealous :-)
Atlantic City is so much fun - we always liked eating at the New Orleans buffet (I think it's at the Tropicana). Lots of great shopping in AC, too - they "just" built outlets there maybe 5 years or so ago? DH and I spent part of our honeymoon here along with Ocean City.
Phildelphia - I LOVE PHLLY!! Make sure you eat a cheesesteak (we like Jim's Cheesesteaks on South Street). South Street is a great street filled with all sorts of people watching and interesting shops. The Franklin Institute is lots of fun and the Constitution Center is very interesting. They have "Duck Rides" in Philly, too - you take an old military vehicle (can be in water and on land) all around Philly. You get a duck whistle thing, too, which I just thought was hilarious :-)
Let me know if you'd like any other tips - I grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ (15 minutes from Philly) and DH grew up in Philly, so we know all about that area :-)
Ive been looking at tickets to fly up to Ohio for a few days but the tickets are expensive! Who did you book your tickets through?
Thank you all for the comments! My relatives live outside of ACY and plan to take us around to a few spots. My cousin is dating a girl that lives in Philly, so between the two of them I think they are going to keep us pretty busy! Philly Cheese Steaks are on our must eats in Philly! I can't wait!
Autumn--I booked directly through spirit... direct flights to ACY and for a pretty reasonable rate!
