Could you please recommend a nice hotel/lodge in the Big Bear area? We have never been there but would like to go for the holidays. Thanks

    FI and I used a cabin rental service at www.coolcabins.com. They rent out ppls unused vacation cabins. They clean it and have it ready for you just like a hotel. You can arrange for a couple bundles of firewood and even a tree and decorations to be delivered to your cabin! I really enjoyed it. We went over thanksgiving, which was nice because it was too cold for the boaters and too warm for the skiers, so it wasn't too crowded. I looked at some places for over the holidays, but the prices are higher during that time - of course. The people at the rental office are really helpful too, in recommending places to go and things to do. Good luck - I think you'll really love it there.
