I think I am staying in overland park area as well as in Lawrence for one night.

Freestate Brewery is a very nice little microbrewery in Lawrence. I would recommend eating there. It's right downtown on Mass street.
As for Overland Park, I'm not sure....
Rudy's Pizza on Mass Street in Lawrence is awesome.
Overland Park will have a lot of the stuff you'll find in most big cities.?
