Vegas Recommendations

Ok, ladies, I usually don't post questions I could just google, but I've been googling these ones and haven't loved the responses, plus we need to keep the board moving.  So, here goes!

We're staying at the Hard Rock for Christmas (24th-27th).  DH and I want to have a nice christmas eve dinner alone, before we meet up with our friends.

1. Recommend a nice restaurant, where we can both eat under $150.

2.  What shows have you seen recently that you loved?  Has anyone seen Peep show?

3.  What night clubs are fun, without being too much of a meat market?

(I haven't been to Vegas since I was 14- which hardly counts- and DH did his bachlor party there 2 1/2 years ago, which consisted of gambling and strip clubs, so he's no help, LOL)  TIA!

  • 1. Recommend a nice restaurant, where we can both eat under $150. -I really don't eat at fancy places in Vegas, just he buffets but I have heard that Maggiano's is good and so is the restaurant that's in the Eiffel tower.

    2.  What shows have you seen recently that you loved?  Has anyone seen Peep show?  -I've only seen two shows there and that was the Legends at Imperial Palace but its at Harrah's now and Jubilee. Jubilee is a great show and really interesting

    3.  What night clubs are fun, without being too much of a meat market?-Sorry don't know much, I don't go clubbing in Vegas.

  • 1. Recommend a nice restaurant, where we can both eat under $150.- Not really any help here. I tend to go cheap on the food in Vegas...since I'm such a gambler. lol

    2.  What shows have you seen recently that you loved?  Has anyone seen Peep show?  - DH and I really love Cirque De Soleil shows. We have seen Zumanity and it was awesome. Next time we go we want to see O at the Bellagio. I've heard it's the best one.

    3.  What night clubs are fun, without being too much of a meat market?- I have been to the Pussycat Dolls club in Caesar's Palace. That was really fun and part of it is on the roof. Also, I have been to Rain in the Palms. Very cool. I have also heard that the Rio Nightclub is awesome, although I haven't been.

I can't remember the prices, but I've eaten at FIX in the Bellagio, and it was really good.  Also Diego in the MGM was really good.  Diego is more of an upscale Mexican restaurant.  Not the most romantic atmosphere, but really good food.  FIX can be kind of a trendy crowd, it's dark, but it was kind of loud when I was there.  I've heard great things about the restaurant in the Eiffel Tower, however haven't ever eaten there.

    2.  What shows have you seen recently that you loved?  Has anyone seen Peep show?
I haven't been to any shows, but my parents actually live in Vegas, and we'd always get them tickets to shows for Christmas & anniversary.  They've seen all the Cirque shows, and O has been their favorite, but they really liked Beatles Love too.

    3.  What night clubs are fun, without being too much of a meat market?
It's been awhile since I've been to night clubs there... I went to one of the clubs in the Bellagio, which was a lot of fun, but I think the last time I was there, it had changed to something different.  So I guess I'm no help there. :)

Have fun!  I love Vegas!  I'm planning a girls trip there in February, and I cannot wait!

  • 1. Recommend a nice restaurant, where we can both eat under $150.

We ate at the restaurant in Paris, the one on the 1st floor that looked out at the Bellagio and it was really good. I've also eaten at the Italian place in NY NY which is awesome. Both are very nice places and def. under $150 total.

    2.  What shows have you seen recently that you loved?  Has anyone seen Peep show? I haven't sen the Peep show but Mrs.DWeb and her hubby did and they really liked it. I haven't seen any shows...I like to drink and gamble too much. haha

    3.  What night clubs are fun, without being too much of a meat market?

Toa (in the Venetian) is awesome, loved it there. Pure(in Caesars) is cool too. I've heard Jet and Trist are awesome as well but I haven't been to those. It's going to be expensive to get into these clubs unless you can meet someone that can give you VIP cards...people give them out all over and you just tip them.

Good luck and have fun. Vegas is amazing...I love it there!!
