Need Party Dip Recipes...

Good Afternoon, my husband and I are hosting a Fight Party this Saturday of about 30guests. What are some of your favorite dip recipes (hot or cold)? Thx!

Re: Need Party Dip Recipes...

  • Easiest recipe ever....and soo delicious!

     Artichoke Dip

1 can artichokes (drain out water and cut up into small piece

    1 cup mayo

    1 cup parmesan

Combine all three ingredients and bake in oven for 20 min at 325 or until bubbly.  Add some Mozz cheese on top before baking if you want.

Serve with baguette rounds or Triscuits.  Enjoy!

  • Hi!  This might sound "junky" but it is easy to make and works really well for a crowd:

    Hot Artichoke Dip

Get a large jar (or 2 or 3) of Marinated Seasoned Artichoke Hearts (from BJ's or Costco).   Drain the oil.  Take Artichokes and Mix in lots of  Mayonnaise and Grated Parmesan/Romano Cheeses breaking up artichoke hearts.  Cover with more grated cheese.

Put in Glass or Ceramic Baking Dish.  Bake at 350 Degrees for aprox. 45 minutes (or until bubbling).  Serve dip warm with crackers or sliced bread.

For parties - I serve it in a small crock pot to keep it warm during the event.  If you let it get cold - its not as good.

    Enjoy!

  • OMG Erin just posted the same recipe.  Great minds think alike...
  • I love the following:

    Spinach Dip (cold)

    1 cup of Hellman's mayo

1 16 oz container of Breakstone's sour cream

1 box of Lipton's Vegetable soup mix

1 can of water chestnuts drained and chopped

    1 tsp of garlic powder

    1 tsp of dried rosemary

1 small 4oz jar of roasted red peppers or pimentos drained and chopped

1 pkg frozed chopped spinach thawed and drained

In a large bowl add all ingrdients together except spinach, mix well, add spinach blend well. Refrigerate for two hours. Serve with sour dough bread and veggies.

    Classic Onion Dip

1 envelope of onion soup mix

1 16 oz container of Breakstone's sour cream

Mix well, cover and refrigerate for two hours. Serve with chips

  • My stupid hot dip that always goes quickly:

Smear a 9x13 with cream cheese, top with diced onions, pour on a can of skyline (or other non-bean chili) top with cheddar.  Bake until melty and serve with fritos.

It's not classy in the least, but people love it.

  • Buffalo chicken dip - few breasts of chicken in a small crockpot with a little water liquid and Frank's Red hot....after the early afternoon  -they're done...shred....add in some cream cheese and 1/2 bottle of litehouse blue cheese...cracked black pepper.....mix together and then use frito scoops----ALWAYS goes like crazy!
  • I have 2, one hot, one cold.

    Hot:

    Chili Cheese Frito Dip:

Mix one can of no-bean chili with a block of cream cheese over medium heat. Heat until fully mixed and ready to serve with Frito chips of course ;)

    Cold:

Cream Cheese Ranch Dip w/ Wheat Thins

Mix one block of cream cheese with a packet of dry ranch dressing mix (mix to taste of course). Serve with Wheat Thins.

  • Taco Dip

Spread cream cheese, brick or tub but not whipped, on serving plate

Put salsa on top of the cream cheese

Put cut up pepperoni, green pepper, onion, black olive on the salsa.  The kind of pepperoni that comes in the stick works best.

Top with grated cheddar cheese, cheese goes on top to avoid it getting soggy on the salsa

    serve with tortilla chips

  • Layered Tortilla Chip Dip  (similiar to the one above)

    Layer of sour cream

    Layer of salsa

    Layer of cheddar jack cheese.

Sometimes I toss it in the oven to warm it up a bit and just start melting the cheese, but if people aren't going to eat it immediatly then prolly not.  I sometimes also put a layer of guac on the bottom (that way it doesn't turn brown from the air.   When I make it for my girl friends I use weight watchers or low fat cheese and fat free sour cream and we don't miss the extra fat a bit.

  • This is a fabulous dip that I've served many times at parties and it is usually the first to go!

    Sausage Cream Cheese Dip

1 lb of ground sausage (i usually get mild or medium)

    1 can of Rotel

    1 pkg (16oz) cream cheese

Brown and drain the sausage then add the rotel and cream cheese. Melt everything together, stirring occasionally. I usually make it in a pot/deep skillet and transfer it to a crock pot. Enjoy!

  • Sour cream and french onion soup mix or Knorr's garden vegetable soup mix.
  •  Baked Potato Dip (everything you like to load on a baked potato - minus the potato)

    1 Container Cream Cheese

    1 Container Sour Cream

1 3 oz can of real bacon bits

1 package of shredded cheddar cheese

    1 bunch scallions - chopped

Mix everything together, dump in an oven safe dish for about 15 min or so.

It is my go-to dip for family & friend get togethers. Fight night + cheese and bacon, you cannot go wrong!

Great with bread, pita chips (or crackers when cooled)

This is an awsome dip! I've even done it with canned chicken. It's so much easier. Serve with Frito scoops & celery sticks. It's always a big hit.

Kathi512 - Ya know - I never even thought of that! Would definitely save me some time!!!! Thx for the tip - I've noticed this dip always goes fast. I make it often for when my DH has his buddies over for football!
