good place to buy appliances?
Hi! If anyone remembers me, we have decided to move from Los Angeles to the SW suburbs--we are looking in Elmhurst and Glen Ellyn. I'm sure I will have a bunch of questions in the coming months.
Anyway, we are in the process of getting estimates from movers and it looks like it may be cheaper to buy a new washer/dryer set once we get there instead of moving our current set. We bought our current set at an appliance warehouse place so we got a pretty good deal. Is there anything like that in the Chicago area or should I just look at normal places like Sears, Best Buy, etc.? TIA!!!
Re: good place to buy appliances?
Hi Amanda...
Hope all's going well with your house hunt!
Aaron and I were actually surprised that the majority of homes that we looked at included the washer/dryer, so maybe you'll luck out in that area like we did! I think most people are of the same mindset as you and your hubby... it's easier to leave them behind.
If you don't luck out and find a place with a washer/dryer, I would check out Grants or the Sears dent and ding store. The appliances at the Sears store are usually in really good shape...we got our new dishwasher from there and there isn't a single dent.
