We saw a house that had potential there, now I have to convince DH that it's a good place to live. What do you love about it?
Re: Tell me about Dover
I loved living in Dover. We would have stayed definitely but it was far from our jobs, our families and even farther from most of our friends. I hated being so "far" from everyone all the time, but loved the area and could have gotten so much more for our $$$ if we stayed there. I say go for it!
Another fan of Dover here. I grew up in Dover as well.... but I don't mind living near my mom and my IL's. We all live within a mile of each other.
I love being able to walk into town and as Michelle said there are many spots were you can be close to town, but also close to more rural areas. We actually looked at one house that had a farm at the end of the street but also was only a mile from downtown. Love it.
The Portsmouth Children's Museum moved to Dover and is opening later this month as the Children's Museum of NH, so there will be loads of great opportunities for kids in Dover. There are new restaurants and shops opening all the time. The schools are great, lots of wonderful teachers.
Like any town it does have its challenges or things that people complain about, but over all I think its a wonderful place to live.
