Is this a stupid gift idea?

In August, my FI and I went to Cozumel with his parents (we booked the trip and invited them to come).  We were thinking about making a hard cover photo book from shutterfly.com with all of our pictures, especially the pictures of us as a group.   The shutterfly photo books are actually really nice and professional looking.

I'm kind of second guessing the idea.  I don't know if it seems kind of cheap or tacky to give them a photo book of basically pictures of us (but also them)?   My future MIL has expressed that she loves my pictures, and was a little upset that hers didn't turn out as nice.  What do you think?

i love pictures.... so i think its a great idea if you go to kodak they are gving out 15 dollar credits. I ordered my mom a book for christmas of my brother marine graduation!

I like the idea. IMO this is way better than some $50 gc.

We are doing them for parents and grandparents this year (with pics of my son).  They are always asking us for pictures, so hopefully this will shut them up!

Go for it. We gave out our wedding album to our parents and my grandmother as thank and christmas gifts.

go for it.  we did this for my il's for christmas last year. we made each of them(they're divorced) a "parent" book of our wedding pics and they both enjoyed them.

I think it's a great idea.  We did a shutterfly calendar for MIL last year of her kids and grandkids and personalized with everyone's birthdays.  It was a big hit with the whole family!

Check out your local Target if you have one. I know they have gc for shutterfly where you can buy the average 20 page double sided book in your size choice and receive free shipping.

Thanks everyone.  We started making it last night and I'm really excited.  We decided to make one for ourselves too, because it looks really nice (at least online).

Now we can't show them our book until after we give them theirs, otherwise they might get the idea to go make their own (which has happened before..)
