Tell me about your Blackberry plan through VZW...

I was tinkering around on the VZW webpage, trying to come up with an idea of what my new plan would cost once I switch my H and me over to BBs.  In going through it on my account, it offers a way to add the e-mail and data to my already-existing plan.  However, I see there are also BB plans that include unlimited e-mail and texting, along with data.  Is the data also unlimited?

If I added the data and e-mail to my existing two-line plan, it would really jack my price up every month, but it seems going with the BB plan will not be that much more expensive.  I have an e-mail in to the VZW rep for the hospital I work at (we have a network through work and get a discount) for more information.

I am assuming if I switch to the BB plan, I will have to re-up for two years to make the switch, but that is no biggie for me as VZW is really the only wireless carrier I plan to have for the foreseeable future.

  • We have the data plan for Blackberry that is $25/month and it is unlimited.  Our bill went up around $50 a month for the plans and a few extra dollars for the insurance when we switched from our old phones to Blackberries

  • i just added the unlimited data package to my existing plan. it worked out better for me to do this since i share my minutes with three other lines and i already had a text package.

  • I have the BB storm. I love my phone and but think I'm paying way too much compared to TMobile.

I think verizon is better just because of  the service, therefore it cost more $$.

PS (Hi Im Gladys from the SoFl board and just happen to see your post. I hope to post here more often)

  • I had to add the $30 data plan to my line.

P.S. I use to live in Saylorsburg!

  • Why do they offer email and text separate from data? Email and text are considered data and would be covered under a data plan (along with the internet).

Im not sure why, but we were not informed of that when we got the plan and our first bill had over $100 in txt charges because they said we didnt need it! Now they're refusing to refund us because its something we were told not something written. We have since dropped our Verizon plan.
