**angelfire** and other fashionistas
So I read your blog today about belts. I need belt help!! You and just lemonade need to guide me into your belty world. I've always been afraid to belt at the waist over shirts, dresses, and cardis because I felt I didn't need much help in the defining-my-waist area, plus I'm afraid it will make my b00bs look porny.
So say you had to chose TWO belts to wear for the next year. What would they look like?
Gracias!

geez, two belts...that is a hard question. I heart belts! I too have b00bs with porno-ish tendencies anyways, but surprisingly adding a belt will most often be perceived as ladylike. I am just so much thicker, especially around the middle, than I used to be. I like the extra definition a belt adds.
Well, I am a fan of thick, chunky belts (like the one in my post). I just found another thick one yesterday at Target that is black with studs. It's pretty rad. It was only $16.99 too. I like the thicker ones because you can wear them with dresses or tops. But I also like the skinny belt look. But to me, using skinny belts is only an option with cardigans (how Dandy wears them). At least for my body type.
Today at J. Crew, I picked up this skinny baby in light pink

I also bought the black cardigan to wear with my awesome new black belt. I don't know, I am loving the belt look lately and I highly recommend it. You have that beautiful hourglass shape too so I think it's perfect for you! But as far as exact type of belt, that is very dependent on your personal style and the other items you want to pair them with. Give me some examples of the tops you want to use and I will be happy to hunt some down for you!
Thank you so much! I want to experiment to get a leaner look too (because... well, let's just say there's been too many oatmeal cream pies in my life lately). I really like your belt look today and dandy's from the other day with the skinny belt and cardi and ruffled top.
And you might remember the girl from F&B who posted a few outfits last week. I'm still obsessed with this one:

Hawki -- My last blog was about plaid. My closet is starting to look like a 17yr old boy's in the mid 90s.
So, do you think I'd be safe in getting a thick brown belt (like in my inspiration pic) and a skinny black for cardis?

This is exactly what I am afraid of... I'm pretty sure I was wearing plaid in my HS senior pictures taken in 1999. I dont really need a repeat of that but I love it.
