Xmas Tree Ornaments

Do you think its a bad idea to try and cover a 9 ft tree with homemade gingerbread people for ornaments?  I'm wondering if I am going to be a baking fool trying to cover the tree.

I think it would take a lot of time, and I personally would not be willing to spend that time on something like that myself.

Last year I had a whole tub of christmas tree ornaments for our 9 ft. tree.  It still looked bare when I was done.

You could fill in the spaces with ribbon.

comment from a fellow dog owner....would your pooch possibly snack on them?  If so, probably better to use a non-edible ornament.  I only adopted my dog last spring, so I didn't know how well he'd do with edible ornaments, so i decided to forgo them last year.

If they're really really really big gingerbread people it wouldn't be too bad.  You could fill in with bead and ribbon garlands.

when we used to do a gingerbread ornament tree, we would also use peppermint sticks to fill in.  Just hang the curve of it on the branch and it looks festive!

I think that would look good....as long as you have some kind of colour on it...
