Our house inspection is today. It's only a few years old so I'm not too worried about there being major things wrong. But since it's a SS we have to take the property as is. So if there are things wrong, we have to pay to fix them prior to closing. That would be a major PITA.
Our lender wants to close us next week if possible. So I'm hoping things go smoothly. I'm still prepared for everything to fall through though. I keep telling DH I won't be FULLY excited until I have keys in my hand.

Well we're back!
It went really well. The inspector went over everything with us. There were no major problems. A few things that we'll need to fix right away, but they were like a valve needing to be replaced, a new handle on water spicket (sp) outside. It also looks like we'll need to have the AC serviced. It's working perfectly, but when the builders finished up the house, they left a bunch of crap in the return area which has been sucked up into the air ducts for the last 3.5 years. So we'll have someone go in to check it out and clean it if necessary. But still, nothing too severe.
The seller also wants to sell us the fridge/washer/dryer. Initially she wanted to keep them. But now she doesn't. So we'll see what she wants for them. That would save us some trouble and money
So if everything goes through as planned, it looks like the plan is to sign next Friday!
That's great news, congrats!
Oh gosh. It's terrible how much mental decorating I'm doing with a house I don't even own yet!
I made a list a few days ago of all of the major purchases we plan to get. Made a schedule of purchases and priced out everything. This time next month I'm hoping to be sleeping on a king sized bed.
We had a last straw the other night when DH came into bed and I was apparently sprawled across the whole bed. He moved me and woke me up. I told him "That is IT, we need this house so I can have a bigger bed. I'm tired of you waking me up!" I'm a selfish sleeper.
