Comcast users

We currently have direct tv and love it but I am looking for ways to trim some bills.  For those that have comcast how do you like it and if you don't mind me asking how much do you pay for it per month?  I currently pay about $184 a month for phone, internet, and the dish.  Plus my husband is a huge duck fan and would love comcast sports nw which direct tv doesn't offer.

  • I don't have it, so I can't speak from personal experience, but my mom has Comcast and loathes them. My hubby is a phone/tv/internet installation and repair guy and has, on multiple occasions, done work for her because Comcast refused or said it couldn't be done.

  • When I called the representative that services our apartment complex I left a message asking for information and prices gave him the apartment number, address, and date of move so he was informed and the next thing I know he showed up at the apartment on the date we moved in with out calling me back or telling me he was coming....so needless to say I told him we were not ready.

     

     

  • I'm (relatively) happy with Comcast.  We pay $100 a month for cable (includes all the high def channels, HBO, and a tivo box), $33 a month for internet, and everytime I call they remind me that it wouldonly be $12 more amonth to add home phone service, but we don't have a home phone. The people on the phone are always nice, and I like having the movies on demand for $3 or so for new releases.

  • We have Comcast and I feel mediocre about it. The customer service I have always felt is good (they have come out to our house multiple times on a days notice) and I like the service people.We've had like 5 faulty boxes, which is a pain. I love the services though- we have digital cable with movie channels, HD, Internet and phone and we pay like $169 a month. It isnt very cheap, I think Comcast is known for being pretty expensive. I am too lazy to research switching though- and I dont think there's much I'd want to switch to. If you're thinking of switching to Comcast, I'm not sure I'd make cheaper pricing my motivation.

  • We despise Comcast.  We pay about 85/month for basic cable+dvr and internet.  We had TimeWarner in Ohio and compared to them, Comcast's remote it not user friendly (they initially left a broken one for us to use...nice), the dvr menu is not user-friendly, the whole system/interface is just not intuitive.  But I think it's our only option in our building, so it's Comcast or no cable/internet for us.
