PINK!!
Well, the tech is 80-90% sure it's a girl. Our baby wasn't being the most cooperative this morning while the ultrasound was going on. It was so cute though, we got to see our little one yawn!! That was so adorable!!
The tech said everything looked good, and the doctor will contact us sometime next week if the radiologist finds anything wrong. The tech gave us a coupon for 10% off of a 3D ultrasound, so Dave and I may look into doing that and hopefully then the gender can be confirmed 100%. We would probably have to wait about 8 more weeks I think before doing the 3D ultrasound since the baby is pretty skeletal right now.
Anyway, just wanted to share the news!! :-)
Re: OK everyone, I'm Joining Team....
YAY!! Congratulations...
but this is me...:-P...jealous
No really I am happy for you!
Thank you!
I thought for sure it was going to be a boy. I'm shocked that my "Motherly Instinct" was incorrect!!
I would love to go out shopping for the little one, but there is still that 10-20% chance that it's a boy. I suppose I could just keep the receipts, but some places only have like a 30 days return policy. Hmm...
YAY Team Pink!! And don't feel bad about not shopping. It very well could be a boy.
. . . I'm about to rain on some people's parades. . . I promise I'm not trying to insult or hurt feelings. . .please no flames. . .
Believe it or not, ultrasounds are relatively inacurate. It doesn't happen often but it does happen. I've seen it. . . A LOT. . . I promise, I know. Usually if it's wrong, it will usually be wrong about a boy being a girl. AKA a little boys weiny could hide from the sonographer so they don't see anything, call it a girl and *poof* come delivery day it's a boy.
Usually it doesn't work the other way around. If you think about it, it makes sense. If you think you are seeing something, it probably really is there. BUT last week I went to a delivery of a girl that they thought was a boy!! They even had "his" room painted blue and everything. "His" name was painted on the wall! They were shocked and crying but in a completely sweet way. They had all boys and had wanted a girl so bad. It ended up being a wonderful surprise for them!
Again, I feel like sometimes I rain on people's parades with my insider info. I've had people get really angry or hurt. And I've felt so bad because that was not my intention!! Anyway, I've learned to apologize in advance when I say this kind of stuff just in case. That's not to say that every mother shouldn't get excited about the baby's sex. Go ahead, that's half the fun of the pregnancy!! I myself am going to be a little wary.
Congrats!! That is very fun.
Layne, my sister was suppose to be Dean Joseph or something like that... She came home in a blue outfit.
That's awesome!! Congrats!!
I highly recommend Prenatal Impressions...LeeAnn and I have both gone there. I have one more appointment with them. They're great!
Congrats!!!!!
How exciting!
Ponder-ing whether or not to become a Viking's fan
Congrats!! I completely understand. I have told everyone NOT to shop yet just in case. They say girls like to hide. lol
Sorry for the delayed post but CONGRATS! Go team PINK!
Congratulations on your healthy baby girl!!! Little girls are so much fun!
