Hi everyone. I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jenn and I just got married at the Orange Tree in Scottsdale on October 16th. I've been around a while (lurking mostly) on the knot and now here. I checked out this board when I was still wedding planning (probably 6-9 months ago) and it was really slow. So, I'm glad to know that it has picked up and you all seem to be really nice. I'm excited to get to know everyone. Oh and I finally jumped on the bandwagon and created my 101 tasks, which are in my blog. I'm glad I have something to keep me busy now that the wedding is over.
Jenn

Re: Hi everyone!
Shell,
The wedding was amazing, but it did have it's hiccups. Right as I was getting ready to walk out, the officiant and DJ (Teffanie) ran up to me because the officiant (our friend) forgot to bring the reading. We had to go on without it. Oh well, I'm sure my sister was happy since she was so nervous to read it. We got a late start at the reception. I think it was a miscommunication between our BM and Teffanie. Then during our grand entrance, my DH stepped on my dress, ripping the bustle. I spent about 30 minutes trying to fix it, to no avail. I ended up carrying the train all night by the loop that supports it on the hanger.
All in all it was amazing. I still haven't seen my profession pictures and I was alittle disppointed in the photographer. She didn't take control and I ended up having to move things along, i.e. calling for people from each of our families, moving from my solo shots to pictures of the girls and me. Also, I paid for 2 photographers. I assumed that they would both be taking pictures. In reality, they did each take pictures of us getting ready, but then for all the formals they were both there. One taking pictures, the other holding the light things. I was hoping that one might go take pictures of the reception details before people entered the room. Oh well...it is what it is. I'll just have to wait for the pro pictures.
We still had fun and danced the night away and everyone keeps telling us how great of a wedding it was. It's cool because we wrote our own ceremony and vows. The vows we wrote without telling each other...so they would be a surprise on that day. It turns out that they actually mirrored each other, which was pretty funny. For instance, I started mine by saying "The first time you spoke to me, you used a cheesy pickup line" and he started his with, "It all started with some witty words from me". It was too funny.
I'm excited that it's over now though, so we can move on. We're already trying for babies. Yay!
