I just recently got engage, and being that I am still looking for venues for our 2011 wedding. I would like to ask you former brides, if you have any recommendations. So far I've look into Westbury CC, nice place, but didn't like their service, they were a little rude. Crest Hollow CC, I LOVE Thomas, great person, beautiful place but didn't like the color of the carpet... Any other places I should look into in Nassau or Suffolk County?
Thanks
Re: To all former brides
We just got married at Flowerfield in St. James and could not have been happier!! It was absolutely incredible and even better than we could have imagined. Ask for Ellen if you call there, she delt with us and was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! The food is incredible, the room looked beautiful, the service was fabulous! We don't have one bad thing to say about it! Hope you find something great, and congrats on being engaged!

I got married in September (88 days ago, according to my Nest profile!) at the Metropolitan in Glen Cove and it was AMAZING! I cannot say enough good things about it -- the food, the service, the elegance, the price -- it was all beyond my expectations!
Good luck and congrats!
My brother is getting married this May at The Inn at New Hyde Park. It has been completely renovated and looks beautiful. I was there for a baby shower.

We got married last year at the Smithtown Country Club, owned by Lessings.
It was great! They made our day perfect!! Resonable prices and great service.
My husband and I got married in October at the Royalton in Roslyn. It was fantastic! Since we got married in the fall, we wanted a mansion for a homey/cozy feel. The moldings, woodwork, and fireplaces completely sold us.
They only do 1 wedding at a time and the service was amazing. You get to customize your menu and they offered more food options than any other place we visited. Mike T helped us along the way and anything we wanted, he made happen. It's a beautiful place and I loved how we were able to stay over and had butler service the next day. He served us breakfast in bed and brought all of our stuff out to the car.
I can't rave about the Royalton enough!
Congrats!!!! How exciting for you!
My hubby and I went against the typical Long Island wedding and we had a small gathering of family and close friends at 21 Main in West Sayville and everyone that was there still raves that it was the perfect wedding (I'll stop bragging now LOL!) Like I said we went very non-long island for that though, we only had 70 people.
My little sister is getting married in 2 years and they are having it at the Watermill, which is an amazingly beautiful location if you're going to go big. The food is very good (we've already been to 2 bridal shows there) and it's not expensive at all per plate. The grounds are also very beautiful if you're planning on getting married in the spring/summer months
Good luck with your planning!
