Where would you spend this?

$1000 magically appears in your checking account and you want to put it towards your new house. Where would you spend it and why? And no, $1000 did not magically appear in my checking account, I am dreaming.

At my house we have decided that the next $1000 we come across will be going to build a shed in the backyard b/c the way too small storage closet that we have right now will be what ultimately leads to my divorce.

Other than that and nursery stuff...an interior designer, new bedroom furniture or granite kitchen countertops

if it were for the current home i live in:

i would get rid of my living room carpet.

or change my bathroom floors.

maybe get a fancy scmancy faucet for the kitchen sink.

get a new stove/oven.....preferable a flat top one

new bedroom furniture for DS, all his is hand me downs for now.

redo our front porch and steps to make it bigger.

get a mailbox made out of Magnalite steel so that the next jacka$$ who hits it with their car will get a major dent in their car.....my box is like a magnet for cars on my street.

I'd put in a farmhouse sink, put flooring in our extra room/garage convert room, get new ceiling fans throughout the house, new chandelier in the dining room, new curtain rods, and/or new screens on the windows.

I'd change out the ugly formica PINK counters in our bathrooms and put in tile.

-replace the sliding glass doors that lead to our patio with french doors 

-a stainless dishwasher in place of our white one

Just an FYI, if $1,000 does magically appear in your banking account, it is wise to report it to the bank. When they figure out what happened, they will get the $1,000 back from you. And before you say anything, yes they can do that. The money was not yours to spend and you knew it was not yours to spend. The law on is on the bank's side.

That said, I would go on a clothes shopping spree. And go for a night on the town.

I want an "adult" bedroom set with a sleigh-bed headboard and footboard, a dresser with a mirror, and bureau, night stands, fancy lamps, and luxurious bedding. For what I want though, I need more than $1k to appear.
