Another Fun GTG Idea!

Have you ever heard of a White Elephant Party?  I'm sure some of you have heard of it before and I have been dying to go to one.

For those of you that haven't, you pick something from your house that you do not like (for example a gift that you received that you can't return and don't know what to do with) and bring it to the party to exchange with other peoples items.  

There are rules of an order and when you get to pick, and from what I hear it's really fun and can get quite competitive.  Someone elses trash can be your treasure!

What do you think?  I definitely have a vase that I don't want,along with lots of other stuff!

I have heard of that before, and think it's really cute. If we have enough girls coming to the gtg then it something we can do in addition to, especially since there is no actual money being spent. Dh will be especially happy about that lol.

I'd come.... not sure I have much I actually want to get rid of, but I wouldn't mind buying something inexpensive.

sounds cute! i can imagine buying something funny at marshalls/tj maxx since I don't think I have anything I necessarily dont like yet

I have participated in a white elephant gift exchange!  It can be really fun if people bring really silly things, but there must be at least one good gift that everyone is fighting over!!!!  I have seen people bring toilet paper, toothpaste, lint rollers, etc., and they wrap it in a way you would never guess it was any of those items.

My dad's side actually does this every year for xmas instead of exchanging expensive gifts...Its really funny  b/c there is this one glass victorian womens head and shoulders...its really ugly lol Anyways it gets passed to someone else every year. Its fun. I know I have a few things I could get rid of...I'm in for a GTG

I can't believe some of you guys dont have anything you would want to get rid of.  Maybe it's because my wedding recently passed.  Oh man some of the hideous things I have received!! 

Maybe we can do this one at a Starbucks or something?
