I love shopping local!

In my fridge right now, I have Tillamook cheese, sour cream and ice cream (Mudslide). I've always loved Tillamook, but LOVE that it is local. I didn't even know they made ice cream. Yum! I figured because it was local, it was a good justified purchase tonight.

  • oooh if you love their ice cream, you should head out to Tillamook to the creamery, they have a TON of flavors there that you can't get at the store :)

It's also fun to watch them make cheese (only during the week though) :)

  • Unfortunately, not all Tillamook cheese is made in Oregon. They started using Wisconsin manufacturers for certain cheeses a while back. Very disappointing.
  • I loved Tilamook too, until I realized many of their ice cream flavors have high fructose corn syrup in them.  Stick out tongue  That made me sad, so now we go with Alden's, Bryer's, or one that reminds me of Lochness but isn't.

I do love their extra sharp cheddar, though!
