Re: Weekend Plans
Besides sleep?
Tonight - Work
Saturday - Mostly errands. I think we' ve found the glider we want for the nursery and the sale ends Saturday so we'll likely go get that first thing in the a.m. Then it will be usual weekend stuff.
Sunday - K and I are going to a friend's (hi Abba!) babyshower. I've never been at a baby shower with K so it should be fun to see what she does/doesn't like and/or understand - lol!
After work I'm probably having dinner with a friend of mine who's in town, then a quiet night at home with C. My friend is going to a concert in the city, after which he'll spend the night at our place, so we'll get to hang out a little more tomorrow (he's in town apartment hunting).
Tomorrow C has to meet with her group from her grad class for a bit, and then we're going to an open house at a condo development we like.
The rest of the weekend is pretty open - C has school work to do, and we'll have the usual errands.
We both took Monday off, so it will be really nice to get some extra time together, and we'll go for my midwife appointment that day too. I'm looking forward to three days off!

Friday- I have the day off so that I can study for tomorrow. I'll probably also work on some lesson planning, cooking, and cleaning.
Saturday- I'm taking my teacher licensing exam- the Praxis II! Its a pretty big deal. If I remember correctly, it should take four to five hours. Yuck. I must pass it though, because at $180 I cannot afford to pay for it again! Wish me luck!
Sunday- I work 10-6 and then need to finish up the lesson that I'll be teaching Monday.
Tonight is Family Movie Night. We'll have an easy dinner and then watch a kid friendly movie (a request has been put in for Cars (which we have seen 1001 times) - but I am trying to find Up at a local Redbox.) After the kids go to bed, we'll watch the not so kid friendly DVR.
Saturday I'll take them to sports class and then to a playdate with a co-worker and her 2.5y son at an indoor play area. Hopefully they will wear themselves out and take a good nap. After nap we'll go to their best friend's birthday party and probably hang out with his mom after the party.
Sunday L will probably read/write in the morning while I take the kids to the grocery store and to enjoy the nice weather (aka wear them out for a nap.) We have a sitter coming over so L and I can go to a choral performance that her co-worker is in at the Kennedy Center. I could think of 1001 ways I would rather spend (what is supposed to be a beautiful) Sunday - but it was important to L to go - so we are going.
Tonight we're supposed to go to scrapbooking. i'm sure we will go, but i'm so not in the mood. I dont feel like i have an ounce of creativity. Maybe I'll get started on our holiday cards instead.
Tomorrow we're helping a friend move, then in the evening we are babysitting the twins.
Sunday we'll be back over Bubby's house packing, cleaning, and getting ready for the big move next weekend.

Working all weekend. My job is so strapped for people after layoffs that in order to have had two days off that I needed this week, I had to trade. I have weeks of vacation to burn but I can't use any of it.
So my weekend will consist of working and sleeping.
(
At least I had my fun at ABBA Mania on Wednesday night.

tonight, nothign in particular.
tomorrow, I'm working at a U23 rugby selection camp for all-stars, and we'll probably go out to dinner and get groceries.
Sunday, long run, camp day two, clean, food, couch
Tonight: At home date night. We plan to make a pizza, watch a movie or two and relax. I promised N I'd stay off the internet all night. I have a bad habit of multitasking during our couch time. Bad.
Sat & Sun: We have no real plans!!! I'm very exciting about this. During our not-on-a-schedule-weekend, we want to do some projects around the house, i.e. removing some wall paper and painting, organizing our filing cabinet and sorting through a bunch of boxes in our junk room, aka basement. I also need to plan our menu for our annual thanksgiving with friends which is next Sunday.....
Tonight we are spending time with family. LMC has been asking to see my aunt everyday, pretty cute. We don't have much set in stone for the rest of the weekend. We all could use a change of pace so we will try to find something new to do. Bleh, boring.
I feel like I can't really do this post anymore...every weekend is pretty much the same. Come April though you will have some interesting activities though.
Tonight we are in although I am going to school to fill out my CORI (criminal background check) form and then the grocery store. I think I am going to try a new recipe for the slow cooker.
Tomorrow or Sunday we are supposed to go to my parents to tag our christmas tree on a tree farm. Last year it was fun and I am looking forward to picking a tree with Ella! We were thinking about how we hoped we would have a baby the next year and we do. I feel very lucky.
Sunday we will also be watching the Pats!
i'll be recovering from this icky sick i've had all week, and we'll probably be sleeping in while we still can. i wish i could say having a baby but it seems this boy is happy where he is for now, so it's not looking that way.
we've got a big list of stuff we want to get done around the house in the meantime, so we'll be working on crossing things off of that. i think it's safe to say we're going to be nesting at home all weekend.
I get off at 3pm today so my weekend starts early with errands (bank, pharmacy, getting cardboard boxes) then dinner and beginning packing tonight.
Tomorrow most of the day will be spent packing. If it goes quickly, we may head to up to stay with family overnight and drop off Kai (they're watching him while we move).
Sunday either more packing and cleaning, or being up North.
So it's sort of up in the air depending on productivity.
Our best friends are moving, so Trav is heading to their place either tonight or first thing tomorrow morning to help load up the truck.
Otherwise we'll be working on the office, waiting for our crib and changer to be delivered tomorrow a.m. and relaxing.
I'm looking forward to some extra sleep, and movie watching.
Maybe I don't have a heightened sense of smell, but I've never smelled any vagina on my pants. -- TSD
