Got vacation, where should we go?

YAY DH was able to get a week off. July 23-29. We'd like to stay somewhere "local" within New England. Could camp. Any ideas? Mom has a house in Jackson so we're there a lot.

it's like an epidemic of boot campers who have gone there in the past couple weeks...you could join the cool kids

 

seriously though, you could camp for part of the time in Acadia and then maybe stay in an inn for part of it too.

 

I love it up there, even though it's a hike to get there.

Go to Bar Harbor!  I love it there - was just there for Memorial Day and if this IUI didn't work, we were planning to go back the weekend of the 25-27...perfect timing!!

Bar Harbor sounds so nice right now. All this talk about it makes me want to go.

Ohhhh I love Bar Harbor, DH and I went there right b4 we moved to Idaho, it was our first vacation together actually :-)  why the heck can't I remember the name of the restaurant in Acadia?  Anyways they are famous for the popovers and OMG they were soooo good!  We had a great time!  There's always Burlington, VT...you could take a cruise on the Ethan Allen which is always nice!

You should check out Hermit Island. Its my favorite campground EVER! I've gone every year since I was born, and I absolultely LOVE it! It is in Phippsburg, Maine (just near Bath) and there are 7 beaches, flushing toilets (this is a BIG plus) and showers.
