Recommend your dermatologist!
I think this has been posted before, but couldn't find it. Anyway, will you recommend your derm.? I have seen Dr. Day at Belle Meade Dermatology..but wasn't too impressed with him. I would be open to another dr. there if you have on to recommend. If not...anyone else. I live in Mt. Juliet, but work downtown...so really..I am open to anywhere. I will travel for a good one!
Thanks!

What reasons? Aesthetic, general screening, specific skin cancer risk?
For large moles that need to be tracked for skin cancer risk, I'd go straight to Darrel Ellis at the Vanderbilt Clinic (he runs/is the Mole Clinic there) This guy knows his sh!t. He's published a bit in the field, knows far more about molecular and genetic qualities of abnormal nevi than most dermatologists I've run across. He's extremely thorough in his examinations (he's the only one who I haven't had to remind to check through my scalp), and he's a really nice guy too.
He's kinda hard to schedule on the fly. I had a 3 month wait for a general exam but if there's an abnormality, I'm sure you can get squeezed in quicker. You need to make appointments with his nurse Connie directly. Just track your insurance referrals (if applicable) carefully before you go. I've not had an easy time with that kind of stuff at the Vandy Clinic
