Conservatitive couching killed us. Ugh. I don't know what would have hurt worse. Watching our team crumble the whole game, or knowing we had a chance to win and gave it away. The only good thing from the game is knowing our back up quarterback is a freaking stud.

Oh and H and I aren't even talking to each other right now because we are so depressed and know we will snap and start a fight with each other. These are games I wish I didn't care so much :-( The good news is I am on my third beer and it is starting to hurt a bit less.

That gave me terrible, terrible heartburn. I can't believe they didn't go for the win in regulation. Come on, Ferentz! WTF?!

Sigh.  May the football gods strike me down for saying this, but part of me was really hoping Ohio State wouldn't win...because I'm dreading the possibility of OSU losing yet another BCS bowl game.  (I can't say that within earshot of my husband though, otherwise he may have me committed)

FWIW, I do hope Ohio State wins this year.  They are long overdue for a good showing in a BCS bowl.  (Although they looked very good against TX last year -- should have won that one, IMO.)

I think Ohio State's peaking at the right time.  They should do well.

FWIW I think Iowa made the right decision in tying the game up...you guys had the momentum swing and as a diehard Buckeye fan I really thought that was the kiss of death for us. Terrel Pryor doesn't work well under pressure and making him work under the gun was a great coaching move by Iowa...I just vastly underestimated our defense in OT. Lori I understand what you are saying, but keep in mind that this season was quickly sliding into the crapper early on and these guys (bless our defense) pulled it together and are heading to the Rose Bowl because of it...have faith my dear

Don't get me wrong, I really really want us to win that damn bowl game and I think that the way the team is playing right now it's a strong possibility...but there's still that little part of me that's saying "Don't be surprised if they lose, though...".  Right now I'm trying to shut that part of me up and just enjoy the win

Okay I will admit the only thing that made me feel better is the outside chance we could still get one of the outside bowls and then maybe be matched with say a more equal opponent. Rose Bowl is always tough for the Big Ten to win. I will be cheering on OSU though!
