hair salon recommendations in Milwaukee?
I desperately need a haircut/style and color...does anyone have recommendations for a good salon or person to go? I used to really love the girl who did my hair, but the last few times haven't been so great...TIA

I went to A Workshop which was an elite training salon for their main salon, Acta Works (sp??). I never went to the main salon but always went to the workshop. Great haircuts for $20. Someone from the main salon was always there to "check" their work. I felt comfortable there, though, because these girls had already done their main training, this was additional training.
The numbers for the salons are:
414 962 6880 (I believe that's the workshop)
414 962 9889 (I believe that's the main salon)
The workshop is usually only open after 4pm, so if you want to make an appt. during the day, just call the main salon.
I go to the Hair and Body Shoppe in Franklin. I've been going there ever since I've had hair (I'm serious). I love it there. Everyone is really friendly and they do a really great job. Here's their website to check them out:

I go to Stella's on 50th and Vliet. I usually see Keely, though she books several months in advance.
K.C. would be a good bet. He's done my hair a few times.
I go to Halo on Brady St. It is pricey (75 haircut, 125 color) but worth it. Michael cuts my hair and Paige colors it. The also have really unique shampoos and products.
I went to Beauty twice and did not enjoy it!
