Does anyone know how to QUILT???
Hi All,
I'm a newbie to the nest. My husbands grandmother made us a beautiful quilt as our wedding gift which has totally interested me. Now I want to learn how to make one. I know I can ask her to teach me, but I wanted to know if anyone knew where I could take a class near Greenwich, CT??
Thanks!
Re: Does anyone know how to QUILT???
I was just looking at this myself when I was out today. JoAnn Fabrics has quilting classes. They are probably free +cost of supplies? I didn't get to ask.
I don't have the room to quilt or a sewing machine:) So I think I will stick to knitting and crocheting (sp?).
GL:)
My mother is a pro-quilter (yes they actually have those)
My rec to you would be join up with your local Quilting Guild (I know they have a Hartford one.. I'm sure they have one down there)
Also lurk around local quilting shops (not chains like Jo-Anns... mom and pop shops) You'll learn ALOT and meet a LOT of quilters very quickly
GL!
