Canning Jams for Coworkers - Ideas?

Hello all,

I am planning to do some canning and baking for this year's coworker gifts.
I want to make mini loaves of bread and pair them with half pint jars of homemade jam.  However, I'd like to use fruit combos that are not 'readily available' at the local grocery store.

Any ideas on some yummy flavors (and recipes too!)?  Thanks in advance!

  • If you pick up a packet of Sure Jell it has a whole list of different jams and jellies with the recipies. Ball Canning is something to look into too. Our favorite is Strawberry, Candy Apple( Apple Juice and Red Hots), and blackberry.

And anything that requires juice as a opposed to jams makes it easier during  the winter since it is hard to get fresh fruit. GL

  • I have this recipe for "Sparking Holiday Jam" which is a combination of strawberries and cranberries.  I haven't tried it yet but plan to this year.

  • Thank you!  They all sound so yummy, I may just make several different batches and let folks 'pick their poison' LOL!
  • I got some Strawberry & Rhubarb preserves from a little local store in Connecticut. They were so good & I had never seen anything like that in the grocery store.
