Rough start to the week
I woke up half an hour late, my hair is wet, I found some gum stuck to my dress, and my throat is sore. Please tell me this is not foreshadowing for the rest of my day/week!

There must be something going around, cause I had a rough early Monday morning. DH and 2 friends have a friend whose wife just walked out on him. They planned a road trip Fri-Sun to go visit him. Last night, I finally get in bed about 1am after finishing cleaning our place top to bottom, excited for DH's return. At 2:30am, he calls and says they are stranded about 45 minutes away because their car caught fire, so could I pick them up. Of course, we just had a decent storm here in Colorado and it's snowy/icey/12 degrees at this point.
So it's 2:30, I'm rolling out of my nice warm bed to go outside, scrape a good 8 inches of snow off my car, and head out on the 45 min icy road drive to pick them up. On the way there, I realize I am out of gas so I stop at a station to fill up. Well my gas door is frozen closed, so I'm standing outside for a good 10 minutes trying to pry it open with my keys and credit card.
Finally, I get to them, then get to drive the opposite direction of my place to drop the 2 friends off. I finally get home around 4:45am. My alarm goes off at 6:30am and I'm at work by 8am. And of course, today is my long day where I get to work a 10 hour shift.
Hopefully everyone else's has gone better than mine, Mamie's and Hawki's!
Yikes! All three of you sound like a rough start. I slept in an extra half hour (I really should have woke up and went swimming instead). Got to work to do no work as there is nothing to do. I'm about to start reading New Moon (again) or cut out some fabric. Oh and I have macaronni and cheese started for lunch and I get to meet our new little neice today! She was born at 25 weeks so she'll be in NICU for awhile but she's doing good. She's a week old now.
Monday morning's alright for fighting! We got into one, too. It started because DH (who has a shorter commute than me, BTW) bolted out of bed when I said I was getting up and proceeded to hog the bathroom for half an hour. I didn't even get to pee! So, naturally, I was cranky at him and biitched about having to pack my lunch or something equally stupid. Then he got mad and left without kissing me, which I also hate because it means I have to lock the door. Hello! I carry a huge bag. The keys are always way at the bottom! Your keys are in your pocket. Do me a freaking favor, sheesh.
Then we made up over texts.
