We have gone back and forth on if we are bringing husbands... I believe at last-discussion we'd decided to do a ladies night in July and then do an "end of summer" bbq or picnic or the like where husbands, kids, etc can be involved...
BUT just to be sure this is the general consensus, let's do a poll. If you plan to attend on the 15th, please RSVP and cast your vote.

Hey ladies...sorry I have spent the past 4 days (yes...4 horrible, long, and boring days) WITHOUT internet. Can you believe this?! but I'm back!
I am like 98% sure I will be able to come. My hubby has a fire dept meeting anyways so I would be solo no matter what but I do need to check with him since he has his meeting and make sure he doesn't need my car (long story) I will post back by lunchtime today (monday) with a for sure answer but like I said, I am 99%
and just a few questions since I've never met any of you and never been to one of these:
1.How do I know who you are? lol..... (I'm scared I will be that weirdo you see sometimes that walks in to a restaurant and just walks around looking for their party and everyone stares at b/c you look hoplessly lost)
2. How many so far are coming? just like 3 or 4 of us? we can do better than that!!!
3. this is more of a comment than a question.... I know I already said I'm shy. So PLEASE do not think I am a b!tch if I don't talk a lot at first... once I warm up I'm great! but don't write me off in the forst 20 minutes if I don't talk...b/c after that I'm a loud mouth!
oh and one more thing....my hubby called us the he-woman-man-haters club the other day when I told him about the GTG. (LOL. he's just jealous) But I told him "that's fine...we plan to have a GTG later in the summer where the guys can come and we'll talk trash about you in front of your face instead of behind it."
YAY Mrs. S I'm glad you're coming! Here are some answers:
1. Last time we met outside on a bench... But it's hot now, I vote we meet inside if no one is opposed... like by the hostess stand, I'm guessing there must be benches there. Last time I described what I would be wearing...so here goes. I'm 5ft1in tall and heavy-set. I'll be wearing black capris and a black short sleeved wrap top with a white flower embroidery and white cami.
OK i'll just post a picture... this was taken at the beach and we actually peeled my eyepatch off to take the picture... and since i couldn't see i have NO makeup on and I hadn't done my hair, so don't judge too harshly... but look for this, with makeup and hair... I'll even wear the same jewelry.
2. looks like just a handfull of us right now, but anyone is welcome. Last time we had 4 and I think it was kind nice, there were enough of us to keep conversation going, but there weren't so many that you left at the end of the night not knowing anything about the person at the end of the table.
3. We know you're shy and that's fine! Just chime in whenever you want
another note - my husband calls everyone my "imaginary friend." Really though, he thinks it's pretty neat, especially since I'm new to the area and don't really know many people and it seems like everyone I get to know keeps moving. It's good to meet area gals!

ok! That's fine.... I will meet everyone at the hostess area. I'll be in: a hot pink and black satin v-neck (you WON'T be able to miss that!) either black pants or capris, haven't decided yet...
I'm 5'4&1/2" (every half counts when your short, right?), heavy set, long (like mid back) blonde hair (that needs highlights touched up...just look for my roots lol).
If anything about my outfit changes (IE bloated and change, "feeling ugly" day and don't like my outfit ect) I'll let you all know first thing in the morning on here.
I'm sorry you wont be there too MrsD, especially since you initiated our first GTG a couple months ago. We'll be sure to make the next one on the weekend so you can attend!!!
For everyone else, I'll call tomorrow morning and make reservations (not sure if it is required or not. I will put it under "NEST." If anyone else decides they want to come just leave a message here and I'll check throughout the day and add to our rsvp as necessary.
Oh and I know LIAngel knows, but for the rest of you, my name is Vanessa. My screen name is hard to remember anyway and Vanessa may be easier than coming up to me and going "Excuse me, are you MrsZP2B in the restaurant.

I don't know what to do.... I told you all I was coming and I REALLY want to but a problem has arisen. I am trying to take care of it so I can still come but even if I am able to make it I wouldn't be able to be there until like 7pm. (7:15 at latest) and surely you all will at least be eating already by then.
Here is the issue. We have three vehicles (which sounds like enough for two people.) one is my personal vehicle (SUV), one is Brians personal vehicle (truck) and one if Brians work vehicle (truck). Well Brians personal truck has an issue and he cannot drive it. Brian also cannot drive his work truck anywhere but work (they track miles since the gas price issues) and he has a fire dept meeting tonight which he HAS to attend. So what does this mean? Yep...he needs my car. Now I could leave work (on Haywood) and take him to powdersville to his meeting then come back...but I don't get off until 6pm... I wouldn't reach powdersville until 6:30 and then have to come back to greenville and be there around 7.
Let me do more thinking....I will let you guys know asap. I'm so sorry that the new girl is causing problems! If I cannot make it...I hope you all have a blast and I will see y'all at the next one!
Where will he be prior to his meeting? Could one of his friends at the fire department give him a ride? Could he use his work truck and just reimburse them for the gas if he uses the excuse he had to go to his meeting straight from work? How far is it for him, could he take a bus or taxi? Do you have a neighbor you know well that may let him borrow his car? Are you already at work? if not could YOU get another ride to work and leave your car for him? I could give you a ride home after dinner.
OK... I'm out of questions, and you don't need to answer them all... just using them to help try to spark an idea for you!
Seriously, I'll go if there's 2 people or i'll go if there's 20... but since we don't have GTGs very often it seems a shame to cancel, we've been planning to meet tonight for weeks... but REALLY I don't care either way...
Is there another night this week that is good for everyone? I have plans tomorrow and Thursday but I am free Friday night.
I vote AlwaysMrs's husband bums a ride... he can't live that far from the fire-station right??? I mean, he has to get there quickly in the event of a fire.
Always, you should suggest he call a friend for a ride, or ride a bike!
don't reschedule on account of me. I'd love to be there and I'm still trying to work it out so I can. Normally I could just leave a bit early and take him and be back in greenville in time but I took a day of work last week and I'm scared leaving early again less than a week later is too much to ask for. it's 10:30 now. Give me an hour and I'll give you a definite answer is that ok?? (I'm gonna try to get him a ride or something....)

anyway: update...he's asking his boss if he can drive it to the meeting on his way home from work. He isn't too optimistic though...
There is no way I'd be done dropping him off and be back on haywood road before 7. If he can't get permission to drive the truck, you all have fun and I'll be sure I can make it to the next one...we'll just have to plan one sooner than later!
Let's try to keep it to tonight if possible. But if we have to switch it, I'm free Wednesday night, but have plans Thursday and Friday.
