Re: How was the weekend?
i am so not ready to be back at work *pout*
weekend was whirlwind but really good - DH & i went to massachusetts to visit my fam, mostly to hang out with my grandmother since she's been to the ER twice in the past 6-7 weeks. our train was late on friday so we just got to see her for a little bit that night. saturday i made blueberry lemon muffins & coffee cake for breakfast, we went with my mom to the harry potter exhibit in boston (very cool if you are an HP geek like us), then had a really great dinner with my gram & mom at a restaurant near them. my mom drove us back to the city yesterday so we got to stop at stew leonard's in danbury which was awesome - had ice cream, got our grocery shopping done including some extra special items like fresh chicken apple sausage, four berry pie, and all the stuff to make pizza for dinner (which was very yummy). stayed up for the very disappointing end to the patriots/colts game
sorry i missed the GTG though - hope everyone had fun!
Glad you got to spend some time with your grandma.
My weekend was overall a good one.
Fri: GTG - was fun, then tv later
Sat: errands and projects just DH and I, lunch at a Haitian restaurant, then tv later
Sun: I went to church (our organist - a 19 y.o died so it was very depressing), then I went shopping for my mom, I enjoyed raking our yard of all the fragrant fall leaves, then DH and I went to LI for dinner...
Have a great day, all!

thanks karllen, my gram is a fun lady to hang out with. i aspire to be just like her when i'm in my 80s.
i'm glad that your weekends are getting to be more fitting some fun in between your home renovations!! i'm sorry about your church organist, how sad
Yeah there wasn't a dry eye in the church throughout the mass. Such a good kid...
It was really nice to take a break from all the renovating and have a date with the hubs. He actually cheered me up on Sunday after church while raking.
Your grandma sounds like fun! I know she must have been glad to see you.

We had a really good weekend! It was both productive and relaxing!
Friday: I had to miss the GTG
- but got a lot of work done for some clients which was good.
Saturday: farmer's market in the morning to shop for produce for Tuesday's cooking class. Then I had my dentist appointment. I have very mild pregnancy gingivitis (which is super common) and should go away post-baby. I also finally got to go and get my hair cut!! Nothing major, just a nice trim since the last time I got it cut was back in April!! Once DH got home (he had to work) we relaxed and watched lots of tv shows on hulu! I also made yummy chicken pot pie.
Sunday: I slept in!!! haha - spent the day cleaning, relaxing, cooking, more cleaning and working on some projects. Then we met with a Doula in the evening. Her name is Colleen and I'm really glad we met with her. I think we're definitely going to go with her. She was really nice and totally on the same page as us in terms of perspective and views on things.
It was such a beautiful day today indeed! I wish the weather would just stay like this.
My weekend was okay. We were in Chicago area for the weekend (hence no GTG for me - boo). My H is from there and we had some family stuff to do. Nothing too exciting! I missed my kitties and it's good to be back home.

I had one of the best weekends in a long, long time. Two friends came to visit and we painted the town red. It was a busy weekend but somehow it was also relaxing. Lots of food, drink, laughing, reminiscing, and just feeling good.
The guys arrived Friday afternoon (which is why I had to skip the GTG) and the three of us went to Nick's for pizza. Our waitress had pants so tight it was a mystery how she got them on or was able to remove them. It was so good (the pizza, not the pants) we decided to order a second pie so that my H could have some. H got home from work and we chilled for a bit. Then headed out to a great bar in our neighborhood that I had never been to (which was a great discovery unto itself).
Somehow in the night, most of the pizza went "missing." All but one slice was eaten for breakfast. The boys and I headed out to Manhattan for one of my famous bar tours. Started at McSorley's. Headed to lunch to meet with one of my friend's exes. She had no idea the other two of us were going to be there so it was a bit awkward. Whatever, we managed. Headed out to four more bars after that.
Then met up with my H for dinner at Coffee Shop in Union Square. Decent meal, lightning fast service, and waitress that was 6' tall and a skirt so short that when she bent over I could see her underwear. Unfortunately for the guys, I was the only one who got to see it and there wasn't a repeat performance. They were a bit disappointed. Then off to yet another bar. Lots more drinks.
On our way to hail a cab, I hear one of my friends say, "Don't look up." Too late. We all looked. From the sidewalk, we can see up into an apartment's window. A bunch of naked men and women whips and other fetish toys apparently not caring that everyone on the street can see them. Kind of strange.
Yesterday, we had some breakfast and the guys headed back home. I miss them already. They brought me lots of food from my hometown. DH and I had an amazing feast tonight courtesy of them. Lots of food leftover for more meals this week.
