Does anyone work there or know someone who does or has? I'm thinking about applying there and looking for some personal experiences with the company - positive or negative. Thanks!
Re: Epic in Verona
My mom is pretty good friends with the owner and she knows two people who work there. She has said nothing but good things about the company she actually is trying to get my H to work there because she really wants us to move to the Madison area.
everything I read about the company is nothing but good things. GL!!
My Mom works for a company that works very closely with Epic. They pay very well, benefits are great but the amount of travel can be extensive. The environment is very "granola" mostly young people without children, people walk around with no shoes on, amazing cafeteria and overall, great environment.
They require you to submit your SAT/ACT scores as well as GPA, making the applicant pool very competitive. They don't really care what courses you took or what your major was but you have to have an excellent GPA & SAT score.
Everyone has their own office, there are no cubicles. Since it is customer driven company, vacation time can be arduous. If it's not convenient for the customer for you to take vacation, you simply won't take it.
If you thrive on mental stimulation, love to learn, understand concepts quickly, think outside the box and are a people person, it would be great for you.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Sort of ditto Crunchy....I have heard that they pay well but they expect a lot from their employees (long hours, tough vacation policy, etc).
From my limited experience with people that I know who have applied, it would seem that they like people with little to no experience. I think they like to be the ones that shape your work habits/work ethic.
If you are young, have no kids, and are in a position to focus on your career, I think it would be a great choice. It would look awesome on your resume. They are an industry leader.
Good luck to you!!
