So, its Monday... How was your weekend?

Our weekend was pretty good. Well, for the most part. We went to the outlets on Saturday with Shannon and D. Did some shopping and scored some deals (well, a few).  Then we went to BRU and to Chilis for dinner..  Carl threw out his hip after dinner though so that wasnt a good thing..

Sunday, we brought the boys to get their hair cuts. Will was having horrible diapers all day Saturday and Sunday so now has a huge rash. Yikes.  We watched the game last night and had our own Thanksgiving dinner (came out great.. gatta love 13lb turkeys for less then 5 bucks).

Today, we went to the doctor with William. Just to see if I could get a super strength butt cream for Will. We didnt get the butt cream but found out he has strep throat. GREAT!!!  He had no symptoms of it what-so-ever.  At least he is now on meds so he wont be contagious when we fly home. I am going to go to the Walgreens clinic tonight to have them test me because I have a sore throat and headache and a fever (low grade).  Keep your fingers crossed for me...

Re: So, its Monday... How was your weekend?

  • My weekend was ok.  Friday night was DH's birthday, so we went to Sushi Eye then out to the new Wild Horse Pass Casino.  It was ok-- it's a lot nicer than any of the other Indian Casinos and the hotel part is really pretty!  I was dissapointed by the center bar, it kinda seems like an afterthought, with temporary tables and chairs.  It should have comfy booth seating around the edge, with low tables and nicer chairs.  The nightclub had a line, about 20 people, but you know how you can judge a club by the people in line...?  Yeah, don't think I'll be going there with the girls!!

Saturday was a super lazy day, did a little shopping and got an awesome pair of shoes!  Sunday I cleaned house while DH worked on the truck, then we drove the truck up to Cave Creek for lunch and to cheer on my Mom when she finished a 35 mile bike race.  Yay for her!

  • I was in Texas for check ups at MD Anderson Cancer Hospital. Got home yesterday and slept on the couch for over 4 hours....I was tired!

  • I had the joy of working all weekend. It's OK though because it was real relaxed.  DH and I watched the fights on Spike Saturday night and then we did our normal Sunday night routine of watching Dexter and Desperate Housewives.
  • Oh no!  I hope you don't get sick.

My weekend was pretty low key, which was fine with me.  We did our regular weekend chores on Saturday, then went to a party, which was fun. Sunday we watched football and relaxed.

Hopefully this week flies by!  I'm really looking forward to a short work week and Thanksgiving next week.

  • Could have been better.

Our cat Mulder (my baby) had another seizure on Friday.  He had one the weekend before (although we didn't know that's what was happening at the time).  We took him to the vet, and the hunt is on to determine the cause.  No internal organ problems and doesn't have valley fever.  So, it's either feline epilepsy (which basically means they have no idea what's causing his seizures) or he has some brain neurological problem (like a brain anorism - sp? - or a brain tumor or something to that effect).  In which case a kitty MRI would cost a lot of money, and would just basically diagnose the problem.  Brain surgery is not really an option for us (super, duper expensive and our vet said it is incredibly difficult to do on a cat - he basically told us that it's not really a good option) =(

He's now on anti-seizure medication that we need to give him every 12 hours.

  • Boo, I hope you don't have strep too Jessica.

Friday we ended up having a spontaneous couple's date with my good friend McKenna and her husband.  Saturday was full of cleaning, errands, and running out some brownies and flowers to my good friend/former roommate who lost one of her twins this last week.  She's about 5 months along and both of them were measuring small; the smallest was about 3 weeks behind and I guess he just couldn't make it any more.  I feel so bad for her since they tried so hard to get pregnant, were thrilled to get twins, and it's been a struggle ever since.  I just hope the second one holds on, I can't imagine what will happen if she looses both.

  • It was a pretty good weekend!  Friday after I got home from work I attempted to watch "The Ugly Truth" with DH, but I was so exhausted I fell asleep about 45 minutes in!  Saturday we cleaned the house, then I went to lunch and H&M with a couple of friends.  I really wasn't too impressed with H&M, for all the hype I really didn't like most of what was in there.  I found one cute dress, but the line to the fitting room was a 2 hour wait!  So I bought it without trying it on, and it doesn't fit.  I'll be returning it tomorrow.  That night we had some friends over for drinks and games, which was really fun.  Sunday I picked up a friend from the airport, did laundry and grocery shopping, and steamed all the wrinkles out of the curtains we hung last week.  So it was a busy but good weekend!

  • Well I'm a day late but my weekend was relaxing.  The kids and I were sick so we stayed home and watched movies.  I helped DD make a wishlist for Santa. DS is going through a very busy stage and I can't do anything for more than 5 minutes because he's all over the place or crawling on something and falling off of it. We've decided that he needs more toys to keep him busy. It's a good thing Santa comes next month ;)
