XP: beer of the month club
i'm thinking of doing a beer of the month club for DH for christmas. anyone know of a good one? i was going to use beermonthclub.com but wanted to check first...
TIA!!!
Re: XP: beer of the month club
Thats a very cool idea. I dont have any suggestions for clubs, but good luck. I dont think you can go wrong with dudes and beer :-)
Also, if he likes beer, how about a home brewing kit?
Big thumbs down on the home brew kit. My DH got it for Christmas 2 years ago and it was CRAP! He got the Mr. Beer brand, maybe there are better ones out there but this one was bad. Just my 2 cents
The beer of the month thing sounds great though. I think I will look into that for DH!
I got this for DH 2 years ago for XMas. He LOVED it and I am considering it again for next year. It is definitely expensive (I went with the 6 installments/every other month plan) but if your DH is a beer lover, he will be into it. I think I used the site you mentioned though I really can't remember for sure.
DH also brews his own beer, but buying a general kit online is usually not the way to go with that. Your best bet would be to visit a homebrew store and have them set you up with the basics for homebrewing. Again, this is not a cheap venture, but once he has the materials to start the only thing he will have to buy afterwards is yeast, hops, and the other beer ingredients he wants.
he got himself a home brewing kit a few years ago and never touched the stupid thing! he finally gave it to my sister's BF who actually does brew beer! (and good beer at that!)
i'm definitely not going to do an entire year b/c of the cost, but i think for a 2 or 3 months (until the novelty wears off) he'll love it! and we can always extend if he really really loves it....
