  • Morning!

I'm curled up on the couch eating a bagel and trying to avoid getting ready for work. Unfortunately, I really need to get moving in the next 5 minutes.

I am quite jealous of jcam having her hubby cooking for her.  Mine only does that on weekends.

Laurie,  how are you and your lovely daughter doing?

Hehe I convinced him that I don't bother making eggs because they aren't as good as when he makes them. Which is true. And we don't have any other breakfast food in the house (need to go to BJs) so I have to eat somehow! Haha

  • Good morning. I am sitting around waiting for DH to wake up ( this is the latest he has ever slept in!) then we are going to the gym and then I am going into boston to get the H1N1 shot.

  • Not so good.

We got woken up at 6:15am to either one of our fire alarms or carbon monoxide alarms going off randomly for 5 seconds and I was so paranoid I couldn't sleep for the last 40 minutes until it was time to get up.

Then I go down stairs and the stupid cat had flipped the f-ing water tank over and all the water had spilled out and onto the floor (again) and had to clean it up.

And of course traffic was horrendous to boot. It was fine yesterday; today, aweful. I don't get it. Did half the world take yesterday off or something? Or are people more retarded today and can't drive? If unemployment is so high right now, how can traffic be so bad?

I'm very cranky. And it is only 9am. I hope I'm in a better mood by the gtg.

It's the same thing in our house!  I can make eggs myself but they just aren't the same.  I only have him cook for me on weekends though bc on weekdays I am always running out the door and just eat when I get to work.

  • Hi! I'm good, this is my last day off of my 3 day "weekend" and I need to take down all the things on my walls because we're having new crown molding (with fire sprinklers underneath, how weird!) installed.. and I need to pack some stuff because we're going to stay in another apartment while they do the work, NOT how I envisioned my last day off.. Sad
  • I'm starving but am at my volunteer gig until noon so I probably don't get to eat before then.

Tomorrow I have to go down to NYC for an interview and have to be on a train at 5:10am.  Which means waking up before 4am.  Not happy.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

How exciting --an interview in NYC!  Is the actual position there, or in Boston?  My morning is kind of off to a bad start....H's truck is broken and he thinks it is the clutch.  This means that we will probably need to get a new truck.

The team is in NYC but the job is here.

Can the clutch not be replaced on the truck for some reason?

These days I am up around 6, and he's such a light sleeper than when I wake up he does too, even though I don't get out of bed. Just me rolling over wakes him. So we have lots of extra time in the mornings lately Stick out tongue

It could, but the truck broke for some other reason last month and it cost $500 to fit it.  H says if it is the clutch it will be $1500 and if it is the transmission it will be $3000.  We love our truck so much, but it is 10 years old and has 140,000 miles on it...so at this point I think we would just be putting money into a sinking ship. We would rather move on then just keep putting money into it.

  • I'm hungry, and I don't have anything for lunch... yet.
  • I had a weird morning. DH had to leave for work at 6, and I accidentally overslept and didn't get up until nearly 8. When I was having breakfast, I got this annoying phone call from my insurance company, about a claim I put in from when my car was hit in September. We had this 20 minute, completely nonsensical conversation which ended with "well, I don't think insurance will cover this repair since you moved to another state", and caused me to call my mom, who luckily is my insurance agent, to ask wtf is going on, and now she's going to call this woman for me and get it straightened out (thank god!).

In the meantime, I had pizza dough rising so we can have homemade pizza for dinner tonight, and I got that all set, made a nice salad for lunch, and when I went to leave, 2 police cars came down the street, stopped in front of my house, where I was standing while walking to my car, and then the drove a couple more houses down and park side by side in the street, therefore blocking the street. awesome! So I went to work the other way. I wonder what happened, I thought maybe they'd be coming for our across-the-street neighbors (in the 4 months we've lived there, cops have come to their house 3 times) but I didn't see if they got out of the cars, and they weren't parked in front of this same house.?
