How many days are you getting off for the holidays?

Re: Holiday time off
I haven't decided yet. Last year for holidays I got off Dec 24,25,26, 31 and Jan 1.
We get very few holidays off and I have no vacation left because of the honeymoon and other random trips we've taken this year. So I will be off Thanksgiving Day (but have to work the day before and day after), Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. We don't even get the whole day Christmas Eve, only half, so I have to work an extra 4 hours to make up for taking the whole day off. It blows.
This is one of those times when I'm thrilled my calling/path in life has lead me to academia...
I'm off all next week, and the from December 19 to January 20. Woo-hoo!!!
For Thanksgiving I have 1/2 day Wednesday and off Thursday and Friday.
Christmas is 1/2 day 23rd, off 24 and 25th, and I have a bunch of PTO days so I may take some extra days off.
I got a new job a few months ago and it's so nice to actually get holidays off. My last job was really sucky and only had 4 holiday days off a year, and my job before that was in retail so I never had off.
We have Thursday and Friday off for Thanksgiving...and Christmas Eve and Christmas Day...then New Years Day.
I always take off from Christmas Eve, all the way through New Years Day, though. It's a good slow time to use some of my PTO.
My boss is very generous in this arena. We get Thursday and Friday off for Thanksgiving (and I'm sure I can convince him to do a paid 1/2 day on Wednesday.)
Then, the office closes and we all get the week between Christmas and New Years off. Since Christmas falls on a Friday this year, that'll be 10 days off with pay. Plus, I'm sure we'll get a 1/2 day on Christmas Eve, maybe even the entire day.
We have of Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Christmas Eve and Day.
Then I'm only working one day the next after Christmas.

Um, well, since I'm a student my only class next week is on Monday. Get the rest of the week off there. Then my last day of classes for the fall is Wednesday December 2nd. I'm off until January 4th.

We only get the day of the holiday off. I choose to work Black Friday just because the day consists of shopping at the store a block away. (It is downtown so most of the deals people wait hours for will still be on the shelf at 10 am.) We also take an extended lunch with the team and most people leave early. Not really worth taking a vacation day.
I am taking the 23rd and 24th off for Christmas because we are travelling to my hometown.
We are closed Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and New Year's Day. I had 3 Vacation Day's to use up, so I'm taking off the day before Thanksgiving, the Monday after Christmas and New Year's Eve.
Depending on how the holiday falls, we either get Christmas Eve and Day, or Christmas Day and the day after Christmas. Next year since its on a weekend, we'll get an extra floating holiday/vacation day instead of a second day off. I usually take off Christmas Eve if we don't have off.
thanksgiving day, christmas day, newyears day off
i dont get many days off, and i used them all for the wedding/honeymoon stuff... and my "year end" is march, so i wont get new vacation until then.
I get off Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving.
I also get off X-mas day, and the day but I am going to take off the whole week between X-mas and New Years. Thankfully that only ends up being three days since we get off NYE.
I have Thanksgiving Day off. But, have to work the day after, which stinks because I wanted to shop a lot.
I have to work Christmas Eve until 2. Off Christmas Day, but back to work the day after.
I think New Years is mostly the same as Christmas.
