post idea for christening gift
aunty needs idea for christening gift for 2nd child, second boy. clothes and toys dont seem to be needed. not into the silver/pewter keepsakes. no more picture frames.

I got this for my nephew recently...I know you said no silver keepsake type items, but I like that it is a bank. His name is engraved on it, and, along the lines off pp's thoughts, Noah's Ark works great with a christening.
I also like pp's suggestion of the playset.
Things we got- savings bonds and a nice kids prayer book.
We give savings bonds or add to the child's college fund. For the college fund, the company supplies a very nice card that tells the parents that we have made a contribution. It also has a space for us to write a note in.
