IYO, what makes a good Holiday Party?
What makes you walk away from an evening feeling like you had a great time?
Re: IYO, what makes a good Holiday Party?
Good food and good company. I like going to a holiday party where people are there to have a good time and mingle. Maybe a cheesy game or two to get people interacting.
If there's dancing, a good up to date music selection. My husband's holida work party is awesome with good food, good company (and good bar), but the music for dancing is out dated and boring. They encourage people to dance and have a good time, but the music is horrible. Hopefully they get the hint this year and make it better.
The fellowship for sure, followed by good food, good wine, and good music.
The BEST memories I have are of us all sitting around a table/on a patio/in a living room, full from a great meal, sipping wine, listening to jazz, and laughing together.
The most important part of any party is the guest list. After that, nothing else matters.
Oh, and please don't play beer pong if you're older than 25.
