Hi I'm new...

Just thought I would say Hi and introduce myself. We just bought a house in June. I was married in July 2008. I thought I would join this because I do not have too many (actually only 1) friends that are married and wanted to have an outlet to chat with people in a similar situation as myself. So hi, and I hope to be able to chat often.

We moved here from Long Beach, and are still getting adjusted. Its a big change from our old lives,  we went to college in Long Beach as well so all our friends are still there. Its been different not going out and such. We both like staying in so it works out but it can seem a bit isolating when compared to our old social butterfly days...

That's definitely a change! I went to school in Irvine and it took some getting used to the area when I first moved out here, especially the heat in the summer!

Oh ya tell me about it, I cannot believe how hot it gets here (or since I am at work in OC, I should say there). Luckily we have a pool, so its nice to cool us off.

Welcome! We got married at Eagle Glen so that area has a special place in our hearts. Where in OC do you work?

I work in Irvine, the drive is another thing that I have had to get used to since the move. I shouldn't admit this but prior to moving I didnt drive on the freeway at all, well I shouldnt say at all but I avoided it at all cost. So now I take 4 freeways to and from work everyday, I am proud of myself for getting through it and I will say it isnt as bad as I thought it would be but it is definatly an added stressor.

 

Eagle Glenn golf course is so great! We go there for breakfast sometimes and it would have been a spectacular place to get married, overlooking the hills. My husband golfs there, not as often as he would like, but pretty often. We too got married at a golf course, El Dorado in Long Beach

I work in Irvine as well and honestly dont envy your drive. As much as H and I loved the Corona area and we could probably get a lot more real estate for the price than in OC, I dont think either of us could do the drive. =/

We go to their clubhouse for lunches all the time!  My mom has to go at least once each time she visits (and that's a lot!).
