I feel like I don't even know you...
TNOTB here much either. Except I have to say that Edward Cullen photo may be for a while to come, LOL!
I haven't read the books either, but that is mainly because everyone tells me they're so good and I haven't had the time to devote to reading the series yet. The movie was ok. But my H of all people is very excited to see New Moon--weird.
Is it just me, or is Rob Patterson just not the Edward i have envisioned after reading the books.
Because of that, i refuse to watch the movies because i don't want him to ruin the mental image for me.
Yes, he has body to die for, but his face is too severe. "My" edward would look more like Chuck Wicks:
I'll buy that. This Chuck character is quite tasty, indeed! Robert Pattinson just doesn't do it for me at all, not even the bod. Perhaps it's his taste in women that did me in.
Remember, this is the same girl who hasn't been to a library since she was 10
Mamie, I love you.
TNOTB here as well. Robert creeps me out. I think it's because he reminds me of my BFF's ex husband who is a complete douchebag.
Oh, and I'm officially sending the Volturi after all the non-believers in this thread.
OH NO SHE FOUND IT. I'm a terrible hider. : o
I wonder how scared I can be by Dakota Fanning.

Haha, ZING!
Touche, my friend.
Can I add how blah the little NM trailer commercials are??? I guess the marketing team thought "Sold out a week before it premieres. Why bother."

"Some seek to destroy her...Some will rise to protect her...but only one will risk everything to save her..."
Like, seriously?
My personal favorite, though, has to be the "What Drives Edward?" Volvo commercials. Soda frequently comes out my nose when those come on.

seriously: just saw this on failblog and thought of you all: the underwear is seriously called a "kiss on the lips". GAH.

Ugh...Twilight...

My students are crazy obsessed, so I read the first book and watched the first movie. Book is not well written. Movie is very slow and excessively angsty. That said, I did have a moment of "well, maybe I should read the next one, you know, for the kids..." after I finished the book (in two days).
Yesterday (in the interest of holding their attention) I did a grammar lesson by taking a review of New Moon, removing some of the words, and having the kids identify the missing parts of speech. Then they did a madlibs-type activity to fill in the blanks. I'm torn on how successful this was. There was a lot of squealing, so I know they got into it... but on the other hand, there was a lot of squealing.
