Hi all!
As you can see on my ticker i'm going on an 8 day cruise Saturday, that has only 3 port days! I love some cruise reading! I wanted some recommendations from my lovely CFL Nesties!
Right now i'm reading "The Constant Princess" which is by the author of the Other Boleyn Girl....
For the cruise i'd like something light hearted, but not too ditzy....
Let me know!!!

Re: Book recommendations!
Oh, I love Phillipa Gregory. Really, any of her books (if you haven't already read them all) would be good for a vacation.
Jennifer Weiner's books are really good "fun" reads. Kind of "chick-lit" but her characters are good, not too two dimensional.
If you're looking for something funny, I read David Sedaris' "Me Talk Pretty One Day" when I went on vacation in August and it was so funny I swear it was all I could do not to bust out laughing aloud on the airplane. That was a perfect vacation book.
Those are just a few that come to mind. Hope you find something you like and you have fun on your cruise!
Christopher Moore makes me laugh out loud. I just read Dirty Job and I seriously found myself laugh for like 15 minutes straight.
The Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris are light and fun.
Ditto Dave Sedaris.
If you haven't already - definitely read any (or all) of Jen Lancaster's books. She's hysterical!

For a light read i would suggest the Sookie Stackhouse Series, Im sure you could almost finish the whole series.. they are really quick reads. Also, Jane Green also has great vacation reads
I am almost finished with Outlander and seriously questioning why i started the stupid thing! They are soooooo long!
WAH...you're not jumping on the Twilight bandwagon!?!
I second Jennifer Weiner. I really enjoyed a few of her books. Another one I really liked was Lipstick Jungle by Candace Bushnell, I think I read that book in 36 hours...it was sooo good!
I don't have any recommendations since I don't have time to read but I wanted to say have a great time! Cruises are awesome!
Oh, and I WILL email you back one of these days to set something up...
