Where is a good local place to have a first birthday party? With guest of all ages..
Re: Kids birthday parities
What time of year?
Several of the parks have great gazebo / common areas that you can rent. Its not too expensive. But if its really hot, it might not be that great of an idea.?
We were out in Brackenridge Park today and there were a couple birthday parties happening. Its right by the zoo. Technically, the zoo is part of the park. Anyway...there are lots of picnic areas, they have charcoal grills out there that you can use, and there's plenty of parking. If I were you, I'd scope it out first and decide on an area you would want to be in (Its a BIG park) so that you can give people semi-directions. Then you'd also want to get someone out there early in the day to save your spot.
?Raymond Russel park is up I-10 past camp bullis and they have picnic areas as well. I think that San Pedro Park, near San Antonio College, also has picnic areas. McAllister Park has picnic areas too.
?Go to sanantonio.gov and find the link to Parks & recreation. It will list all of the parks in san antonio and the "services" they provide. There's so many, but those are the ones that I'm most familiar with.

The Little Gym always throws GREAT birthday parties, especially if some of the kids are more mobile than a 1 year old. ?We just had DD's party at my parents house, since it was just her and another baby (we were from out of town as well). ?We had a bubble machine and a ball pit for the kids to play with and it was PLENTY for a one year old. ?But older kids would have been very bored...
