The misters parents are suckers for stereotypes. They live in the NYC of the south-- Boca. So we'll be there for a few days. Can't wait for the early bird specials... ugh. Thankfully we get to escape and go hang out with friends in Palm Beach who are also doing the great schlep...

I have starred every macaron that comes up on tastespotting... but I'm scared! They look so fancy and difficult.
LOL that is funny. Boca is crazy, I never cared for it much to be honest. The old people are so MEAN! Though I'm sure your ILs are an exception. Palm Beach is my favorite though! Let me know if you need good restaurant/night recs...I still live vicariously on the PB scene!

I used to be a huuuuuge hockey fan, but then the Kings started sucking and I got into the Dodgers more. I really haven't paid any attention to hockey for a couple years now. I'll probably start following hockey a bit more when playoffs get closer.
Can I play? I go to Simi Valley periodically for work, we have a project there.

And my DH loves the Colorado Avalanche, Penalty, so I've been to a Kings game when they were here. I really had a good time and have been bugging him to take me back. Baseball is definitely my sport, though. I am a Chicago Cubs fan, born and bred. I probably went to my first game when I was about 2, and we had season tickets growing up so I was pretty much raised in the friendly confines. I miss it so much. We went there on our Honeymoon!

Painful is a pretty good way to describe being a fan of Chicago teams, though not the White Sox, for some reason. But I believe that you don't truly love until you have loved through the good and the bad. Being a Cubs fan is a sign of character, in my opinion. I'm no fair-weather friend. You will understand, then, that when DH became one (a Cubs fan, back when he was just a BF), his stock rose considerably.
