If no, where are you going and are you bringing anything? We're going to my MIL's house. We are bringing stuffing, a dessert (but I can't decide what), and wine.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving food (just one!)? Stuffing!

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? I'm not a big pie person and I don't really like pumpkin so whatever else is available. My aunt always makes some kind of cookie, lol. MIL is making carrot cake and we are bringing a desser too, but I can't decide.

Does turkey make you sleepy? Sometimes but not usually.

If no, where are you going and are you bringing anything? My moms (and no where else for the first time in 15-20 years)! I'm bringing soup, but I can't decide what kind. Either cheddar/ ale or butternut squash & tortilla

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? Apple custard pie- my grandma used to make it for me and my mom tries to recreate her recipe

What is your favorite Thanksgiving food (just one!)? Sweet potatoes (kinda caramelized w/walnuts)

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? I  dessert... pecan pie, apple pie... I do not like pumpkin pie 

Does turkey make you sleepy? Yes- and thankfully, DH agreed to sleep over that night since I have to go to work in the AM

Are you hosting? Yes.  Oops, forgot to add what I am serving...

Turkey, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, meat stuffing (made by MIL), green bean or brocolli dish (made by SIL), apple pie, pumpkin pie.  I think I will make spiced nuts and have cheese and crackers for an appetizer.

If no, where are you going and are you bringing anything? Going to SIL's.  Not sure if we're bringing anything yet, but probably not.  She usually has it all planned out.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving food (just one!)? Squash.  Thanksgiving and Christmas are the few times per year that we have it.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? Apple pie.

Does turkey make you sleepy? I don't know, but I definitely get sleepy after eating all of that food.  Hard to just blame it on the turkey though.

Does your family of your DH's family have any Thanksgiving traditions? At my aunt's house we always play games after dinner.  DH's family doesn't have any traditions.  This year we are starting our own of running in a turkey trot 5k in the morning.  I figure getting some exercise in the morning will make me feel a lot better about all of the food I'll be eating later!

We're going to my IL's and so far I'm just bringing an apple crisp (leftover from all that apple picking!)What is your favorite Thanksgiving food (just one!)? sweet potato casserole- my MIL's is amazing (as long as I don't watch her make it because the amount of butter is just gross)What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? But I save so much money that I don't mind being shoved around for a day. And we have so much fun.

Are you hosting? No, we don't have a whole lot of space. With my parents moving to the Cape my mom thinks we can do it next year. I have anxiety over 10 people and 2 dogs in our 760 sq ft condo. We'll see. If yes, how many guests are you expecting and what are you serving? n/aIf no, where are you going and are you bringing anything? I'm making cornbread muffins. I saw the recipe in Real Simple and it sounded so good. What is your favorite Thanksgiving food (just one!)? Stuffing . . . my mom's stuffing really.What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? Anything that isn't pie, not a huge pie fan. I usually eat whatever fun dessert my mom bought my nephews.Does turkey make you sleepy? I think so.Does your family of your DH's family have any Thanksgiving traditions? In the morning we always go to a brunch/open house at my brother's house. He has a champagne fountain and loves it. Then we go to my parents house which will be changing next year : ( Unless we all haul down to the Cape. We also always go to the Cape for the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Are you hosting? No, we're hosting Christmas though for the third year in a row.

If no, where are you going and are you bringing anything? My parents are hosting this year and we'll be bringing flank steak with chimichurri sauce, apple and maybe pumpkin pie, and a veggie side dish.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving food (just one!)? Um...don't really have one.  We don't do a lot of the traditional stuff and my family is full of amazing cooks so it's hard to pick!  I really like the variety.

Does turkey make you sleepy? Like others have said, it's not so much the turkey as the sheer volume of food in general that I'll be consuming!

Are you hosting? nope, and we probably never will- it's a tradition to go to my grandma's farm house (where DH and I were married). DH wants to host, and I mentioned it to my mom, and she likes the idea of having DH's family come up, but says she can't bear to have TG anywhere else. (and I agree)If no, where are you going and are you bringing anything? for Thursday we're going to DH's sister's house, and it'll be 6 adults and 2 children. I'm bringing cranberry lime ginger sauce, apple cranberry ginger pie, pumpkin pie, and stuffed dates. on Sunday we're going with my family, but I'm not sure who will suck it up and do a 2nd Thanksgiving- at this point everyone but my parents are angry DH and I are not coming. (kind of , but I think they need to get over themselves). I'm not sure what I'll bring then, I'll probably make another apple pie.What is your favorite Thanksgiving food (just one!)? chicken pot pie- a tradition in my family that started when they'd have 40 or 50 people, one turkey, and a very full chicken coop.What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? pumpkin pie (normally apple pie would be, but since we really only do pumpkin at Thanksgiving, I can't get it as often)Does turkey make you sleepy? too much food and staying up late baking pies makes me sleepy!Does your family of your DH's family have any Thanksgiving traditions??DH's family doesn't, aside from his mom only baking chocolate chip cookies for Thanksgiving, not any other time of the year, but my family has the chicken pie I mentioned, and also peanut butter stuffed dates- I have no idea how that started, but we ONLY have them on Thanksgiving, and we all (my cousins, my mom, my aunt and uncle) fight terribly over them while my grandma laughs at us and the rest of the family shake their heads. We also used to go skeet shooting in the fields after eating, but that tradition stopped before I was old enough to shoot.

They are expecting about 25 people and we are bringing pumpkin cheesecake and wine. Probably something else, but I need the menu before deciding anything else. If no, where are you going and are you bringing anything?  Bringing food to both family dinners that we are attending.  My family's and DH's are in the same town this year.  I usually bring a chickpea broccoli casserole as a vegan entree, and it is generally hit with meat-eaters and veggie-lovers alike.  This year I hope to try out a different vegan entree to mix it up.  I'll also bring my pumpkin cranberry bread, which is always demanded.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving food (just one!)? Stuffing (depending on the recipe, though, and not if it has meat), otherwise cranberry sauce

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert? My cousin's apple crisp or my mom's apple cranberry pie.

Does turkey make you sleepy?  I don't eat turkey, but the holiday overeating in general makes me pretty sleepy!

Does your family of your DH's family have any Thanksgiving traditions?   My family usually has a bigger extended family celebration and they rotate who is hosting.  After dinner, a large number of us usually go for a long walk to make room for dessert.

Does turkey make you sleepy?  Absolutely.  Either that or all the fodd I consumed.  A nap after dinner is always a must

Does your family of your DH's family have any Thanksgiving traditions?  Not really... we switch off families every year... DH's family pulls names for our Secret Santa as Christmastime... thats about it
