XP: Ladies that went to Vegas for their bparty
Anyone go to vegas for their bparty or have ideas of what to do for a bparty in vegas? I'm throwing a bparty for my friend in February and want to get some ideas of what to do to price it out for people. I've never been!
We already have a hotel.
TIA!
Re: XP: Ladies that went to Vegas for their bparty
I just went to my sister-in-law's bachelorette party a month ago and am planning one for a friend in March. ?
Check out VooDoo Lounge at the Rio - they have a rooftop deck that is supposed to be open year round --- it is on the 50th-ish floor and has a great view of the strip. There is a free shutttle from the Paris Hotel to the Rio if you are staying on the strip. ?The drinks are strong there - so be careful.?
Mon Ami Gabi is a popular favorite restaurant there for groups. ?Mesa Grill - Bobby Flay's is also popular and they have a prix-fixed meal that is reasonable. ?
We are going to have a lingerie shower in the hotel suite.... ?
The one lesson I learned is that have everything planned -- and make sure you designate who is paying when and for what..... ?At the last party, there were some girls that didn't even buy the bachelorette a drink...... while others were footing most of the bills. ?
I think it everything was spelled out from the beginning, it would have been much better. ?
Below is advice from one of my friends....have fun!
Best,
Ashley ?
Diego's (MGM Grand-Trendy mexican)?awesome salsa and taco platters/presentation - good margaritasIsla (TI - trendy mexican)?Great mojitos, guac and chicken tacos
Dos Caminos (Palazzo-trendy mexican)?I think they were filming something for The Hills the last time I was there - I think I like the food at Diegos and Isla more, but this place is definitely more of "the scene"
Sushi Samba (Palazzo)?awesome atmosphere - the otsumami appetizer is great! Cute drinks
Sushi Roku (Caesars)?- great sushi but can be pricey. if you like seaweed salad - they have the best I've ever had. The Lobster Roku Dynamite was awesome, too.
Clubs
PURE (Caesars)?fun atmosphere and possible celeb sightings (I saw Cris Angel - not too much of a celeb, but still...) I highly recommend VIP in this place because it gets really crowded. My friend and I were by ourselves and we got asked up to the VIP area, which was soo much better. They played awesome music when we were there - danced the whole night.
LAVO (Palazzo)?- LOVE this place. Great music and they keep the crowd in check better than other clubs I have been to on the strip. Getting there early is good because you definitely want to get a spot along the walls where there is seating and the ledges that you can get up on to dance. They managers gave us free drinks for our ledge dancing skills the last time I was there.? : )? If you hang out at the Palazzo lobby area or casino in the late afternoon early evening, you should be able to get free admission or line jump for the group. They love big groups of girls.
XS (Encore)?and?Moon (The Palms)?never been but heard these are the "IT" places on the strip now.
Clubs I didn't like as much:
TAO (Venetian)?I heard TAO Beach is cool but the club was ok. The rooftop area is good b/c you can breath and sometimes the music is ok but no one is dancing up there. The stairwells throughout the club are really crappy. The main club area is ok but very crowded. If you are lucky enough to get to a platform it is much better and the music was pretty good.?
LAX (Luxor)?- too crowded but cool atmosphere and decent music?
??
I went to Vegas for my bachelorette party in July and just was back there in October as well.
In July we stayed at the Venetian (I know you already said you have your hotel), but it was an awesome place because its one of the biggest hotels (pools/clubs/restaurants/shopping, etc) - and all the rooms are suites.
Friday night we had pizza in the room and then went to Chippendales at the Rio, which was super fun. A little cheesy, yes...however it was definitely a vegas show (not like a smarmy strip joint) and all 16 girls had a blast. We went to Tao (Venetian) afterwards.
Saturday was recover/pool day. Since we had such a big group we split up for dinner (1/2 went to a Mario Batali restaurant, 1/2 went to sushi samba - again all at the Venetian), but we all probably spent around $100/head at dinner that night which included alcohol. We went to XS (Encore), which was awesome - but its mostly outside, so maybe not in February. It is one of the main Saturday night clubs though.
In October we were at the Hard Rock, and had a good time at Body English (Hard Rock) and Tryst (Wynn).
My MOHs set everything up for my bparty, but when we went in October all we had to do was talk with the concierge. They will put you on lists and you shouldn't EVER have to pay a cover/wait in line. I'm convinced those are basically tourist taxes.
Sorry for the novel - feel free to page me if you have any other questions or want any more specifics.
I definitely ditto Ashleys advice for planning out money.
One thing my MOH's did that worked really well was asked for $50/person upfront. This money was pooled and it paid for a lingerie shower/brunch at Bouchon (which I forgot to mention) and all my drinks/show ticket/dinner on Saturday.
