Poll: TTD

Who has done this? I'm thinking about doing it, but wanted to ask how the experience went. Even more though, I'm curious as to how much you spent (since that will most likely be the determining factor for me... I guess right now I'm more of "daydreaming" of doing it. lol).

I know a few of you got a super promotional deal. For those who didn't, how much did you spend (if you don't mind sharing)?

Do you think it was worth the cost?

Are you happy with the pictures?

Did you actually "trash" your dress, or was it not too severe?

Also, what was your main reason for doing it? (Ex: Were you unhappy with your regular pictures? Did you just want unusual or more pics of you in the dress?)

Re: Poll: TTD

  • Do you think it was worth the cost? this is not particularly helpful to you... I was one of those promo girls - it cost me $20

Are you happy with the pictures? I love them.  I don't know what I'm going to do with them, but I think they came out great.

Did you actually "trash" your dress, or was it not too severe? It's dirty from lying grass and sitting on the sidewalk, but I'm pretty sure it will come out, if I ever get around to taking it in to be cleaned.  I truly believe the blackening of the hem from taking our wedding photos on a local bridge will be a tougher stain.  I didn't get in water, or burn it, or paint it or anything.

Also, what was your main reason for doing it? Honestly, I was bored.  I'm a teacher, and we were back from our honeymoon, but I wasn't due to start school for a few weeks.  I saw the offer, and I thought it would be fun to put the dress back on and go play around for a while.  I even told the photographer afterward that if I was blinking in all of the pics (my usual M.O.), or making weird faces, I would not have cared.  The experience was totally worth it.  Admittedly, I may have been more concerned if I had paid the big bucks, but since I was able to relax and go in without an agenda or expectations, I had a great time.  I usually hate to get my pictures done.  These make me feel pretty and confidant.
