We just did this at work and we always adopt-a-family at Christmastime. That one is always interesting here in NYC, because you get lists from local families in and around the metro NY area. Some can't write, some clearly don't speak English, and some ask for the sweetest things... like for mommie to be happy. That one nearly broke my heart last year! I have to admit, I was a recipient of gifts and food from the Salvation Army as a child, and I knew I was "underpriviledged". Here's wishing that these kids never have to feel that.

Thanks ladies!  Karen I'm sure if you put it and they don't get it before it's not a huge deal.  They know mail takes forever to get over there.  Just the thought that counts.

Thank for this! I'm going to post a fb message and hopefully some of my friends will do it too.  I also went to the give2thetroops site and I'm going to talk to my family about donating $ for postage for the care packages.
