Lets all work together! for simple gift ideas
we all know it can be frustrating to come up with little gift ideas for co-workers and distant friends.
lets compile a list for others to refer to for simple gift ideas.
** Last year I bought little journals and covered them in scrapbooking paper and decorated the front with the persons name on it.

Great gift for girls: Hit up Bath and Body Works during sale and buy lots of little miniature items. Then buy small stockings and fill them with bath products. Everyone usually loves these.
Fill a jar with popular candy and tie a ribbon around it.
Buy ornaments and personalize them.
Just some ideas for now...I'm racking my brain for more!
one year i just bought those little wine bottle cases that bring like four and wrapped a candy cane on them and gave them to the other girls at the law firm - they all loved them and looked forward to enjoying them during the stressfilled holidays - it wasnt a whole bottle, but it was a nice way of giving some something they can use pehaps - however, i know not everyone drinks.
For my sisters this year - I have three - I am buying them a bottle of Bethanny's Skinny Girl Martini ( not sure which one) and picking up some $6-7 boxes with four martini glasses for each - nice less than $20 gift - also great for friend gift exchanges
last year i went to the dollar store and got some small gift bags and filled them w/ homemade treats and a variety of chocolate candy.
For those crafty folks out there, I had a friend who made me personalized note cards (the front had my first initial rotated in various ways covering it. I thought it was cute, I don't know how much it would cost though.
Other simple gifts I've received in the past include wine bottles with cute kitchen towels wrapping them up, cookies with the cookie cutter that made them, journals and books
Hope that helps!
Last year, my coworker gave me a live (or not, since it is cut, but you know what I mean) wreath. Of course, she gave it to me in early December, so I could hang it right away. It smelled so good, and lasted on my front door in to January. I thought that was a nice, useful, original gift.
I usually do like PP have said and make an assortment of small loaves of quick breads and cookies, package them in pretty tins, or those festive take-out boxes and give them to coworkers.
