Got Our Ornament!
I happened to be working from home today (too much to go into the office after an OB appt/internal exam) and the UPS man dropped off a box. Inside was the prettiest pickle ornament from my "Secret Santa", jessi720. I love the pickle! 
For those of you who may not know, there is a German tradition of hiding a pickle ornament on the tree and the first child to find it on Christmas morning receives a present. My great Aunt Rosemary has held this tradition for over 50 years and I think her pickle ornament is older than that!
Even though our little one will only be a week or two old this Christmas, I wanted to continue the pickle ornament tradition in our family. And I know that this pickle ornament will be a favorite in our family for many many years. And what's even cooler is that my Secret Santa's family follows the pickle tradition, too!
